crossover_chick: Victor leaning over to look at a blue butterfly in a glass jar (CB: i has a happy thing)
Got myself a malted milk ball "cabinet" (aka a milkshake) at Brickley's at the end of my walk this afternoon. I wanted one now that the weather's finally feeling properly summery, and since my time to get one is limited now that we're close to actually moving. . .well, I figured today was the perfect day. Still one of the best milkshakes I've ever had -- I don't know what about chocolate ice cream with crushed Whoppers in it makes it so good, but still. Om nom.

Other things of note today:

-->Got my hair cut! That was the other thing I wanted to do this weekend now that things are warmer -- I was basically done with fussing around with a ponytail and having to spend so much time combing it out. Now I've got a nice light bob. :) I feel a little bad that I wasn't able to do my usual "Locks of Love" donation, but after reading that many of those organizations chuck a lot of the hair they receive. . .maybe I'll just donate some money to them instead.

-->We have a new vacuum cleaner -- Mom asked me to vacuum the upstairs hall and the downstairs rug, only for our old one to basically finally fall apart while I was in the middle of doing so. It's been on its last legs for a while now, honestly. We were trying to hold out on new appliances until we were sure on the new house, but this one was kind of a necessity. New one's same brand (Bissel) -- hey, the old one lasted for five years, we know we can get some mileage out of them.

-->Wrote some more on "First Time," finishing off what is now the first chapter instead of just a short opening scene. Much happier with this new version, I gotta say. Victoria's section should be much easier to adjust and expand out, I think, since that bit was going pretty well already. And then I can get back to Victor and Alice actually discussing things. (Anyone who looks at this expecting a PWP is going to be sorely disappointed -- I think the vast majority of it is talking.)

-->Played Bloodlines -- Nines and Harry were attacked by werewolves in Griffith Park, and Harry and I managed to kill the one going after him (with the help of Fortitude making sure Harry didn't die from the werewolf's claws first). *highfives her character* Then I managed (after a few false starts and one death) to get across Santa Monica without being bummed, and choose my ending! I actually ended up going with the independent ending -- I was gonna go Camarilla, but I think I took a wrong turn during an early dialogue option (either that or Harry just wasn't friendly enough with Max). Admittedly, I like the independent ending best, because screw everyone telling me what to do after I've slaughtered my way through so many bosses. So Harry's ready to kick ass and take names in the Chinatown boss fight -- accompanied by the lovely Yukie, because she's cool. :)

-->Watched Helloween and Rufert's latest DS3 sets -- a somewhat interesting Carver mission (with some neat hallucinations and a chipmunk section because Helloween got stuck at one point not knowing what to do to make a hallucination end), and a really dull optional mission to clear out a waste disposal area. At least the boys whinging about how mediocre the game is and arguing if Helloween is or is not going to watch the rest of an awful show called Helix is amusing. Also another S.T.A.L.K.E.R set came out this afternoon, so I watched that as well -- artifact hunting and Helloween nearly having a panic attack having to sneak through a lair of bloodsuckers. Life in the zone. . . No Chrono Trigger this week, though! Color me surprised -- maybe he'll explain why next week. *shrug* At least I'm all caught up on his vids for a change.

-->Also watched the first two episodes of The Sim Supply's Parenthood LP. Already things are degenerating into a hilarious mess. The house they're in is basically barely livable due to how cramped it is, and poor baby Max is constantly hungry, lonely, or tired. Not to mention James is actively trying to turn him into a truly AWFUL Sim, getting all his core values on the negative side. . .it's good times, and I wish I'd have the time to watch more. Well, the next two episodes are in my watch later queue.

-->Speaking of queues, got the Valice Multiverse one done without issue. And, thanks to getting the Emmett photos from last weekend's play session done earlier today and having two fanarts I wanted to reblog in my drafts, I'm up to the beginning of Thursday with my VictorLuvsAlice queue. Nice feeling! So for one week I'm ahead, hooray.

And now that I've finished up all that, I really need to get to bed. Another week of work calls. . .and hopefully we'll see what's going on with the house situation too. Night all!
