Happy Birthday Doc Brown!
Oct. 22nd, 2019 10:04 pmYes, today Christopher Lloyd turns -- 81, Great Scott. O.o He still looks good for his age, gotta say. I am pleased to still have him with us and acting. :) I haven't done a heck of a lot in BTTFy stuff today, though I did finish off the last of the chocolate chip cookies in his honor. XD Also reread a couple of BTTF fanfics, so that's gotta count for something.
Unfortunately, the day itself has been kind of -- eugh. Let me break it down for you:
-->Stressful day at work -- not only were my coworkers upset about personal stuff (and I swear, I am a stress sponge when it comes to that sort of thing -- someone is in a mood around me, I just absorb the CRAP out of it), we've managed to work ourselves into something resembling a tizzy when it comes to planned gifts. Namely, how we record and acknowledge them. Making sure everything is right there is probably going to be our project for tomorrow, and I'm not exactly looking forward to it. *sigh* Every time I think it's gonna be quiet for a while. . .
-->Shit traffic coming home -- I'm not sure what was backing everything up, but I ended up having to cut through the city again, which I hate. At least the traffic there wasn't too miserable -- just a lot of people turning or walking and all that.
-->tumblr's developed a fun new glitch where it isn't saving captions on pictures! I've tried multiple times to caption the pictures for my latest Newcrest Adventures update, but no dice -- it's just not saving them. It is saving the main-body text though, so that's good at least. The captions are just a funny addition to that, so the posts can go up without them -- it's just -- frustrating.
-->Speaking of frustrating, HUGE Valice Multiverse queue tonight -- I'm still working my way through it! Four new asks left to go. . .
Really, the highlight of my day was seeing the new Discover University trailer -- things look cool, though I am keeping my expectations tempered, lest they destroy me. But we get bikes, two universities (I am team Dragon University, even if as a New Englander I should be team Lobster University), a variety of courses, robots (Servo? That you?), and what looks like a bunch of other fun stuff. And PROPER TOILET STALLS. No more having to rely on CC! I find it amusing that both James and Plumbella, whose reaction videos I watched, were equally excited about this. XD They were both hopeful about the pack, but clearly a little worried that there might not be any actual challenge here. . .we'll see, I guess! Me, I'm just looking forward to it for a) university shenanigans b) ending my self-imposed mod exile.
There was also one other video I watched -- GrayStillPlays has discovered the coooowplaaaant~ Yes, the latest Sims 4 offering from Gray was a mansion littered with cowplants -- last one standing gets to live! It was the usual hilarious death fest XD Florida Man won by a hair, by having the good luck to be eaten again only AFTER his original "Drained" moodlet had expired. (Sims can only die if they're eaten again by the plant while that moodlet is active, I believe.) So that was good at least. :) AND I found more Hitman 2 fun to watch later. . .
Much later, though, as I still have a lot of shit to wrap up. Better get going on what I can. We'll see if tomorrow's any better a day -- night all!
