Happy Halloween 2019!

crossover_chickI was miserable and grouchy most of the day because more donors were having issues with the online giving stuff, and also I was PMSing until a half-hour before leaving work when I got my period!
Seriously, it was a bit of a stressful day, and having THAT happen did not help. Fortunately I caught it JUST as it started, and I was able to track down a pad to wear for that last half-hour. (And yeah, better to get it THEN than at the START of the day, as my Mom pointed out.) Also fortunately, I did not have a completely SHIT ride home like the other day (though I did have a close call with a red light), and actually doing Halloween stuff worked out nicely. Got my costume on, had an early supper, and gave out plenty of candy to the kids. :D I was worried we wouldn't see a lot of trick-or-treaters, as it was kind of drizzly, and the wind just kept picking up, but we ended up having about the same number of kids as we had last year! Just maybe a little later in the evening. :) Everyone loved our house and our pumpkin, and I had some other little witches compliment me on my costume. :D If you'd like to see our Halloween decorations, here's the tumblr photoset! (No captions, as they're not working still, but -- *shrug*) Includes both our original Cheshire pumpkin (which we ended up ditching tonight, as -- well, I didn't even want to TOUCH the damn thing, much less put tea lights in it), and the new version (which everyone loved, so yay :D).
Trick-or-treating was pretty much wrapped up by 8:30 -- we still have a TON of candy, but that's mostly because we got a really big bag of it this year. We'll snack on what's left over the weekend, and I'll take the rest back with me to work on Monday. In the meantime, after hopping in the shower, I got my photoset ready, then:
-->Watched the "Fun With Shorts" Halloween short (which was actually just your standard Chevy commercial with a VERY LIGHT veneer of Halloween stuff -- Josh's riffs were largely just him ranting about being "tricked" by the title XD)
-->Watched Plumbella's tour of some Halloween-themed builds (we had an awesome -- and livable! -- haunted house; a spooky maze with genuine little jumpscares that you can navigate in first person!; and a whole Halloween park with an awesome fake rollercoaster that's got both Plumbella and myself wishing for real ones)
-->Got my Valice Multiverse queued sorted (no major surprises, fortunately)
-->Answered the comments in my inbox (ditto)
And currently I'm listening to some favorite Halloween music. :P Gonna be doing that until I head to bed for the night, probably -- it's still Halloween until I go to sleep! :P And given I'm currently in full period mode. . .yeah, just having fun with music seems like the best plan. :p Night all!
