Not quite as good a work day as yesterday -- the GL took longer because there was more complicated stuff on it, I ended up juggling a few different little things while trying to get to processing the checks, and I had to answer an e-mail from a former coworker (of sorts, she worked for a different department but we occasionally did stuff together) who'd gotten it into her head that I could be her personal tech support with something -- but I got all the stuff that I needed to get done, done. So I'm in the clear for tomorrow and can just dive right back into processing and updating stuff on Monday. At least I won't have to worry about work on top of everything else! Which is good, because going to the dentist, even if just for a cleaning, is giving me enough anxiety. . .

Other things of note today:

-->Well, we definitely got the rain! It was pouring off and on for most of the afternoon -- fortunately I got out to the parking lot during one of the "off" periods, and got home before it started seriously coming down again. We're not out of the pollen woods yet, apparently (radio suggested we have another week to suffer), but at least this must have washed away a bunch of it.

-->Did a workout video, yay me~

-->Did some more with Chapter 8 of "Secundus 2" -- the gang is getting ready to leave the festival, with everyone saying goodbye to Doc and Clara as they prepare to head back to her place. (Clara was open to staying at Doc's, but Maggie thinks there'd be too much scandal. Wonder what she'll make of Doc strolling into town tomorrow morning having clearly not slept at the blacksmith shop! XD) Kinda sad to write them all being a bit depressed at the festival taking such a bad turn, but has to be done. For plot. *pats them*

-->Had a Sims-based YouTube experience tonight:

A) Another episode of "Sims Logic!" Yeah, I missed it when abidoang first posted it, but now I've caught up. :D Lots of fun stuff, including the inherent ridiculousness of the doctor career in a game where magic medicine can cure anything, and how pregnant women can autonomously use things that you can't direct them to use because they're pregnant. :p Also Abi having fun with hell stairs at the end, in a very GrayStillPlays fashion XD

B) Plumbella designs a house from debug items! It's completely unusable by normal Sims, but we're only here for the aesthetic, darling. And the aesthetic is essentially "reclaimed ruins by a family with no shame." XD She built the main house out of temple pieces from Jungle Adventures (and ended up putting it in Selvadorada too), fashioned a barrel into a table, and some books, pet beds, and an upsized baking pan into a bed. It was ridiculous and wonderful and I love it. XD

C) Plumbella tries AGAIN to industrialize Evergreen Harbor in Eco Lifestyle. And she succeeds! . . .After resorting to a cheat to set the eco footprint to "Industrial," because for the life of her she couldn't do it any other way. She TRIED the much-heralded career and its smog vacuum (cheating it in from debug and then, after some painful searching, finding a mod to live-drag it into her Sims inventory), but it was just taking too long, and cheating was the only way to progress. She was genuinely sad about it too, highlighting the lack of challenge in going green as a downside to the pack. It should be harder to make places eco-friendly, not easier! Ah well. . .at least there was a lot of fun editing to show off her pain to best effect. XD

D) Oh, and look, GrayStillPlays has gotten Eco Lifestyle too. Cue the creation of a lot with a "privacy dumpster" fence, lots of beehives and bug farms, plenty of flammable objects, and absolutely no power. Oh, and a shark pool. Because why not, right? XD As you might expect, the deaths started coming pretty early, mostly because the Sims kept setting things on fire! Though the actual first death was Ellis Dee drowning in their "F U" regular pool, because Sims love to drown. Only Australia Man made it to the end, thanks to his pure Australian-ness – dude SWAM IN THE SHARK POOL and got out safely. Also, Whitley napped in a dumpster, much to Gray's confusion and amusement. XD I REALLY hope he does a video about Sims getting killed by flies – it feels him!

-->Caught up on webcomics and tumblr tags, and am currently finishing up over on Valice Multiverse (small queue, nothing too spectacular). Gonna answer what's in the inbox and -- well, not head to bed RIGHT away. I don't have work, and my appointment isn't until 11. But I don't want to stay up super late either. . . Think I'll aim to get into bed by one at the latest -- that'll hopefully lead to me waking up early enough to have a decent breakfast and do a couple of fun things before heading out. May in fact do an afternoon room clean once I get back and we have lunch too. . .or at the very least, do a pre-dust to get rid of some of the pollen that's gotten in through the windows! Ugh, the sooner we're out of this time of the year, the better. . .I really don't recall it being this bad other years, but maybe I was more used to it via being able to go outside more? *shrug* Just dealing with it the best I can right now. . . Night all!
