Getting breakfast and setting up my calendar for the new year was a bit of a mess this morning -- see item one below -- but the day did improve from there, as I'm sure my write-up of my to-do list will prove:

1. Clean my room and do the monthly wash: Check, though it took me longer than I wanted because of a late start (we needed to get a hole punch so I could properly hang up my Corpse Bride calendar my aunt got me, and – it turned into a thing involving a dropped light bulb on the basement stairs and other nonsense) – the actual room clean started about 11:22 AM and ended around 2:45 PM (with a half-hour break for lunch at the 1 PM mark), while my laundry took until 4:44 PM (those thick blankets and whatnot always take a bit to dry). But at least it’s done now, and I won’t have to do it after a full week of work.

2. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check with bonuses – another two-in, two-out on the Subs, so I watched a couple of New Year’s treats as well –

A) Started this afternoon with a video from The Red Plumbob – “10 Unique Interactions in ♦ Sims 1 - Sims 2 - Sims 3 - Sims 4 (2021)!” A video showcasing unique interactions from each mainline Sims game! Some of my personal favorites were Sims being able to play footsie at the right booth table and recline on a picnic blanket while talking and eating from Sims 1; being able to swing kids around and kids being able to play things like Mary Mack and Cops & Robbers together in Sims 2; Sims daring each other to eat a straight spoonful of cinnamon and ghost stories with automatic lights-out and spooky images in Sims 3; and the awkward woohoo talk parents can give teens and “Apologize. . .in bed” from The Sims 4. XD Really wish they’d bring those first two from the original game back, honestly!

B) Then, this evening, moved onto another recent New Year’s release: “Still Another 15 Missed Opportunities of AT4W - Atop the Fourth Wall!” More missed jokes and whatnot from Linkara, including a longer list of “The Cosmic Cube Can Do Anything” gags, remarking on unobscured “Lorem Ipsum” text and toast described as pop tarts, and – in a less funny vein – getting a surprise comment from one of the creators of “The Wild” comic and getting to ask what the deal was behind its creation (it was SUPPOSED to be like a sci-fi B-movie if it had gotten past the first issue, but between an inker sitting on the pages for ages, the publisher refusing to do his job, and mismanaged advertising, the book never got off the ground. Plus the artist was in a semi accident, so now it’ll probably never return. :( ). And so we move into 2022, which – well, Linkara’s a muppet now, so that’s something. XD

C) Then it was over to the Subs for Call Me Kevin and one of his “update on my life” videos, talking about how the past year has been for him (okay except for the very beginning, with the lockdowns and whatnot, and the very end, where he got a one-two punch of a truly miserable flu and a throat infection). He’s trying to work a lot on his personal growth, open up more about his problems and whatnot, and he’s committing to Wednesday break time, yay! :) You’ve more than earned it, Kevin. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your content in the new year.

D) And finally, in a less-wholesome mode, we had GrayStillPlays and more City Smash and its hacks! Gray had some new numbers to play with, and proceeded to make fireworks so powerful that they could just erase from existence individual buildings; super-fast nukes that simply wiped the board clean (and ones that just created the world of Fallout); timed bombs that could simply sweep away an entire moon colony; and – right at the beginning of the video – cluster bombs that could destroy not only entire cities, but also the game itself. AKA, Gray tried to get 5,000 bombs to drop in one go, dealt with one fps for a while as the black hole of bombs on the screen slowly and stutteringly expanded, then watched the game crash as the explosions started. XD Why this man is ever allowed to touch numbers, I will never know. XD

3. Play Sims 4 and handle Winterfest: Check! It was a lovely little Winterfest for my Chill Save pair – I actually went ahead and did some proper indoor decorating (they already had the “decorate it yourself” tree – I just put up some internal banners and whatnot) to go with the outdoor decorating, just because they had the money. They decorated their tree together, then welcomed the visiting Felipe in – Victor gave him a present of a Yuki MySims trophy, and then they all enjoyed a grand ham lunch together! . . .and then I got upstairs and found the jerk had pranked the upstairs toilet, making it explode on Victor and forcing him to repair it, so out he went. *grumble* Fixing that and getting some showers in took a while, but things got cute again right afterward – Victor and Alice made some snowpals (I tried to get them to make one together, but the game kept canceling it, so I had them make one each instead), then exchanged romantic gifts as per a whim of Victor’s – Victor gave Alice a crocus, Alice gave Victor a rose. :) They also naturally shared a mistletoe kiss. :) Shortly after that, Clement showed up in his capacity as Father Winter, and they chatted for a while before asking for gifts – Alice got a new element, Selium, while Victor – well, Clement obviously likes Victor better, because he got a “London’s Choice” oven! Which was a major upgrade on their current one, so I sold that and slotted the new one in. They also took some presents from under the tree to make sure Alice fulfilled all the traditions – Victor got a train engine car to display, while Alice got a bowl of fruit. XD They headed off to bed after that, but it was a VERY successful holiday. :) And now – three days in the jungles of Selvadorada! They’ve been waiting for this honeymoon for a while – let’s make it memorable. :)

4. Get back to "Londerland Bloodlines: Santa Monica's Vale of Tears" Chapter 4: Check! I am back on my regular writing train, w0000~ Caught up with Alice and Mercurio as they checked out Carson’s apartment to figure out where the bounty hunter has disappeared to – Alice discovered Carson’s tape recorder, which ended up pointing them to his laptop. And after a brief discussion about the clans and a certain Imalia pinned up on Carson’s wall, Alice has located the document they need! Only it’s password-protected. . .fortunately, I left off on Cheshire letting Alice know she has in fact heard this password very recently. . . :P

And that's about it -- yeah, felt better about the day after getting the laundry done, watching my videos, and playing my Sims. :) And my calendar's up on my door now, so that's what counts. As does the fact I have one final day off tomorrow -- let's get the to-do's sorted, shall we?

1. Either continue updating the "Playthrough Progression" part of my "Fallout of Darkness" doc, or get back to work on "Learn To Love Again"

2. Keep up with YouTube Subs, watch Fallout lore video in Watch Later, and Jon's latest F:NV "Utter Chaos" video

3. Play Fallout 4 and take on USAF Station Olivia

4. Get in a workout

5. Work on tumblr queues

Need to at least get the pictures sorted for my next Chill Save update on tumblr. And I'm gonna call the workout semi-optional -- it would be best if I COULD do it, but I'm not gonna beat myself up if I don't get down there. As it stands, I've got messages to answer and whatnot -- Happy 2022, everyone! Night!
