Mall Trip Success
Feb. 12th, 2011 11:53 pmWell, mostly -- one of my aims was to get the next Discworld book I need (I'm almost done with Soul Music, meaning I've only got one left to go on my bookshelf), but they didn't have a copy of Maskerade. Have to try another time, I guess. But still, it was a nice trip. From Borders, I got:
-->Agatha H and the Airship City, the "Girl Genius" novel (so far, so interesting)
-->United Kingdumb, one of those "stupid people" books focusing solely on the UK (it's actually a pretty thin volume compared to the others)
-->I'm Tempted To Stop Acting Randomly, a "Dilbert" book
From Newbury, I got:
-->"Victorian Undead: Sherlock Holmes Versus Dracula!", another one of those "penny-dreadful" type comics (though I seem to have come in in the middle of an arc. Have to track down the others)
-->2-Disc version of Coraline (I had the 1-disc version, but this new one has actual special features)
-->Professor X and Warpath minimates. I have no idea who "Warpath" is (he's from the X-Force comics, apparently), but I figured my X-mates might like an Xavier.
I also got some Kleenek and lip balm for my cold at CVS, and a chocolate chip cookie dough mini-Blizzard at Dairy Queen. (YUM) And of course there was plenty of time spent in Dave & Busters. To my delight, the Beginner mode (just using the strum bar) on the Guitar Hero arcade is back, so I go to indulge in a round of "Jukebox Hero" without totally sucking at it.
Of course, this means not much happened here on the net. But Marty's chatting with Drake and his Lambo, and letting Doc and Dee know about the new living car. And over in![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
charloft, Butterfly Boy made my heart melt a bit by putting an extra video at the end of his post. I have got to find him an Alice. (On a related note, someone tell me that making a group journal for the other residents of Secundus would be a bad idea.)
