I blame the scene between Clint Barton/Hawkeye and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, where Clint talks about being under Loki's mind control: "Have you ever had someone take your brain and play? Take you out and stuff something else in? Do you know what it's like to be unmade?" That little speech there strikes me as so Forgotten Vows it hurts. (Hell, I'm honestly thinking of using an adapted/altered version, with appropriate credit/shoutout, in "Remembering You" when the mostly-amnesiac Victor tries to talk about what Bumby did to him.) And that led, somehow, to me doing an American McGee's Back To The Corpse Bride RP Universes crossover.
"RP Universes," you ask? Yeah, because, like I said, that scene hit me specifically as something Forgotten Vows would say. Add in me deciding Butterfly Boy would make a hilarious Tony Stark/Iron Man analogue (Iron Butterfly?), and you see why I need it to be RP-universes. Basically, for the crossover, I'm doing a "two parallel universes" thing. One, FV05, has Forgotten Vows Verse-like characters and is home to the Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor, and Loki analogues. The other, SC88, has Secundus-like characters and is home to the Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, and S.H.I.E.L.D. analogues. And who are said analogues? Well, I haven't committed fully to casting yet, but, going by code name:
-->Hawkeye: Forgotten Vows Victor
-->Iron Man: Secundus Victor
-->Black Widow: Forgotten Vows Alice
-->Captain America: Secundus Marty
-->Hulk: Secundus Doc
-->Thor: Possibly Carpenter (wields a big hammer, his theatrical mannerisms could prove amusing)
-->Loki: Forgotten Vows Dr. Bumby
I'm still working up origin stories to explain/justify my choices. I also did some Black Widow/Hawkeye Valice-style comics, because that's a thing now. It's going to be an Avengers weekend!
I still don't get it because I only saw the first two Iron Men and you people know I wasn't all that impressed! WHY DO I LIKE THE AVENGERS SO MUCH?
Maybe I should just shut up and check up on Twitter.
