Everything Is Awesome
Feb. 20th, 2014 11:02 pmSaw The LEGO Movie -- to my delight, it was indeed great goofy fun. :D I would totally recommend going to see it, especially if you're a LEGO fan. Ahhh, memories -- and I've still got my LEGO DeLorean to show off! I'll take some pictures of that tomorrow. :)
As going off to the mall meant I was out all day, there isn't much else to report. Brought my iPad Mini to see if there were any hotspots I could take advantage of -- there were, but I couldn't take much advantage of them. So not really worth bringing it along on those trips. Though I could play Fruit Ninja without needing the net. And those times I was able to connect allowed me brief check-ins with DragonVale. I wandered around Newbury's, but didn't see any must-buy stuff. I also started reading my Dragonlover's Guide to Pern book -- it's interesting, though more general/less-explainy than I expected. Still gives a good overview of Pern, though. The one thing that drives me nuts is that all the illustrations have dragons with diamond-tipped tails when the text CLEARLY SAYS they're forked. Can no one draw the dragons correctly?! Also I found the story about Impression to be a bit more creepy than charming, but I blame that on reading so much fanfic exploring the dark side of the process.
Speaking of dragons, I hatched my Amethyst last night! :D I have my first Gemstone dragon! It came with the name Flicker, but I went ahead and named it Amy after the protagonist of a favorite children's book of mine, The Ordinary Princess. And to add to my pleasure, Lavawing and Jethro finally cooperated, so I'm getting a Gold in about four days. :D I'm trying to get a Winter with Monty and Borogoves, but they're just giving me lots and lots of Glaciers. Meh. Still, this will give me two Epics in each habitat and a good way of earning the cashola. I also leveled up to 25, so I should probably get on hatching Light and Dark dragons and the various hybrids of each. Need to rearrange my parks a bit better before that, though. Need room for the new habitats! (Technically the Sixth Island is now available, but I'm not nearly ready to purchase that yet.)
Okay, time to do some more catch-up. Later all!
