Setting Up For the Big Day
Dec. 24th, 2015 11:31 pmSo many presenty things to take care of. . . I've got 8 fics queued on my tumblr for tomorrow! And I'm still working on a post for both Butterfly Boy and Forgotten Vows to work as a "present post" for their friends on their dashes. . . Forgotten's list seems to get longer every time I look at it. HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW SO MANY PEOPLE, FORGOTTEN O.o Aaaand I still have to post those fics for those you who favor Dreamwidth. . . At least I can get away with doing that sometime tomorrow afternoon! Along with my special Forgotten Vows Verse gift for everybody. Christ, I haven't even BOUGHT anybody anything, but I'm still completely swamped with present-giving. *facepalm, laughs at her life*
It's been a good Christmas Eve despite all that, though. Woke up at a decent hour to decent temperatures, if not really decent weather -- it was on and off "am I going to rain really really hard? I look it!" all day. Still managed to get a wander outside though (headed to the bank to get some more paper cash for my wallet so I'll have it on hand for emergencies), so that was nice. Got an editing pass on my Forgotten Vows stuff done, then had a tasty lunch of leftover Chinese food from last night and a chocolate-covered pretzel which was -- okay, I suppose. Not horrible, not great. Watched Helloween tackle the next episode of the second season of The Last Door as I ate -- good stuff! Seriously, these guys have made a truly fascinating adventure game, with a seriously creepy plot. And listening to Helloween giggle over "seamen" and blunder his way through puzzles is tres amusing. XD Plus I have more Resident Evil: Revelations 2 to look forward to as well now, yay. :)
Also hit Sims this evening -- played through a day of Emmett's life. He's safely ensconced in the Scientist career, and he's become the first of my Sims in this neighborhood to travel way outside his home lot! Went to the library if you're curious -- wanted to read a book there, but he ended up doing more socializing than anything. Found him with an unwanted "Lovebirds" relationship, though -- and with a married woman, no less. I have a mod to fix this, but I need to reread the documentation to make sure I know how to properly undo said relationship without mucking up my game. *sigh* I really think forming romantic relationships with other Sims when you're not playing them is something they should have disabled. I am not a fan of this "story progression" nonsense -- I am God in these games. I will control the whole "choosing of a mate."
But that's just a minor niggle in the scheme of things. Right now, I have other fish to fry -- such as thinking up more presents for my Victors to give out, as well as keeping up with tags. So I'd better get back to that. Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! See you on the big day!
