crossover_chick: picture of Alice (Wonderland) in front of the swirling purple Wonderland tunnel (AMA: Alice down the rabbit hole)
The historical one is turning 165, wow. . . At any rate, I found some time to do some Alicey things in honor of the day:

-->Reread a favorite fanfic from AO3's AMA section, On the Tail of the Storm

-->Played through the A:MR storybook app that's still on my iPad

-->Reblogged a cute picture somebody had made using some of the cake assets and an Alice model :)

-->Rewatched both "Otherlands" shorts. My opinion on them remains about the same as when I first saw them -- "Leviathan" has the stronger story but suffers from that weird "unfinished anime" art style (though I like the new dresses Alice gets) and Verne's rather incomprehensible (to the American ear) accent; "A Night At The Opera" has pretty fluid animation and an interesting premise, but Alice doesn't get to be her kickass self much, and I still hate how her puppet looks. (Especially after seeing some of the storyboards and reading the original script idea -- this could have been SO MUCH BETTER.) On the plus side, music in both remains completely and totally awesome :D

-->I suppose doing some more with "Fixing You" counts technically, as it is Victor and Alice fighting together in his Wonderland. . .they're taking down the lesser faces on the Colossal Nell! Two more to go! Too bad the Nell is going to follow regular Colossal Ruin rules once they all come off. . .

Today also proved to be a cookie day, as at work we had those cylinder cookies with filling available, and Mom had made snickerdoodles when I got home. I had a little of both (work cookies for a midmorning snack; snickerdoodles for dessert), and trust me, I needed the sugar. It was a pretty stressful day at work. Every time I tried to do something, it felt like I got interrupted by the phone ringing. A lot of people getting letters with the wrong parish on them (thanks to our automated update system being not-so-good), and one lady I just could NOT convince that she could give to two different parishes under one account. . . Ugh. Rough. :( At least I have tomorrow off -- it's supposed to pour, but I have no plans beyond "watch videos/play video games/probably help put away groceries." Frankly, I'll ENJOY just being able to stay home and laze around. I need it.

Right now, though, I have a watch later queue I'd like to catch up on a bit. So I will leave you with the last part of Rabbit Hunt to amuse yourselves with. Night all, and May the Fourth be with you and all that. :)
