crossover_chick: Victor leaning over to look at a blue butterfly in a glass jar (CB: i has a happy thing)
Me this morning, dreaming: Why am I so cold? Why is it so cold in here? It shouldn't be cold. Am I in the Arctic? On Pluto? Why am I --

So yeah, that's what I was doing about 5 AM this morning. I managed to go back to sleep for a little while and get myself warmed up, but not a pleasant awakening. It was downright chilly this morning! Fortunately, the weather people turned out to be right about it improving -- it took most of the day, but by the time of the 3 PM dismissal, it was in the high 60s and sunny. I even got to open my windows for a little bit when I got home. :D Now this is weather I can get behind. And it's supposed to be all uphill from here. Oooh, I'm hoping...

Work wasn't anything special, beyond chasing down more maintenance and cleaning up some e-mails. Nice getting out early, though -- the long bus ride means I only got home like half an hour earlier than normal, but it was still a little extra time. Spent most of it revamping the beginning of "First Time" because I wasn't happy with it -- now I'm starting with Alice being dropped off at the reconstructed Mermaid, and it feels like it's coming together properly. I also decided on Alice's engagement ring -- Victor got her a piece of acrostic jewelry, since that was a pretty big thing in the Victorian era. Hers spells out her name. :) I figured Victor would want to do something romantic like that for the girl he actually genuinely proposed to. And it's a nice historical detail too.

Rest of the day has been the usual "websites and queuing" stuff -- set up my queue for VictorLuvsAlice for tomorrow, and got a start on the Friday stuff. Now have a landing page for Mallow Hallow stories! And hey, I don't think I ever linked the "sweet dream" Victor had to counteract his nightmares, did I? Here you go!. Nothing particularly exciting beyond that. Though I did make time for a WhatCulture video and learned that the Tower of Terror in Orlando is 199 feet high so they didn't have to stick airplane warning lights on it. XD Ah, random trivia, how I love you...

Anyway. It's late, I need sleep. Night all!
