Yeah, we had our latest blast of shitty weather -- morning was okay, but right around noon the snow started, and it didn't take long for it to get pretty sticky out there. The frustrating part was, everybody knew this shit was coming, to the point where pretty much all the schools had early dismissals right from the get-go and there were parking bans set up.
It took MY work until about 2 o'clock to actually decide to close the building. AKA right when the weather was about at its worst. It took my parents just over an HOUR to come and get me (Mom had the car because she'd had an eye appointment in the morning, before the snow, and they didn't want me to stress out over driving in it), which means I didn't actually get out of the building until 3. Fortunately home was an easier ride, and we got back around 3:30, so I still had some extra time to myself. Just -- frustrating as hell, you know? We ALL knew the weather was going to get bad, and we were ALL expecting that e-mail earlier. . .I just hope my coworker got home all right. She had a much longer ride than me.
At any rate, calmed down once I got home, and took the extra time to play around a little on TV Tropes and get my queueing on VictorLuvsAlice all sorted. Good for Wednesday and most of Thursday (including my Valicetines)! :) Then, after my workout and dinner, I wrote some on Chapter 15 -- basically finishing up the pre-boss battle stuff with Nell. Largely consisting of Alice reaffirming to Victor she doesn't consider him a burden or weak, and Victor getting to tell off his mother pretty soundly. Too bad she then warps into the Colossal Nell. . . start of the actual fight will have to wait until Friday, though. I've got chapters to post the next two days. :)

A) The Sim Supply building a house -- with SimGuru Romeo! Yeah, one of the actual Sims 4 developers. He who is blamed for not putting toilets in his houses. XD Turns out he was unfairly maligned for the Bailey-Moon house, but he built another one in the Pinnacles of Del Sol Valley that is ALSO lacking toilets, so. . . James stealthily took the opportunity to point out some of his build mode grievances as they designed a weird bunker-type house together -- such as roofs always having their own walls that you can't remove, or the lack of good doors that go with anything, or the fact that you can't copy anything scaled up or down without it snapping back to original size. I have no idea if any of his complaints are actually going to make a difference, but it's good to see a Guru actually come to grips with some of the less-great things in the game.
B) Helloween finishing up the Claire portion of Resident Evil 2 REmake! I would say the game felt a bit short, but a) his sets have all ranged from about 45 minutes to an hour over 9 parts, and b) this is only the first half -- we now have to play Leon's side of the story! I'm looking forward to seeing what's different and what's the same during his half. And how many times HE'S going to have to fight the mass of mobile eyeballs that is William Birkin. (Oh cripes, when you think about it -- Leon and Claire's campaigns are TECHNICALLY supposed to be happening roughly around the same time. Leon pops up a couple of times in Claire's campaign, clearly doing his own thing, and I assume the same is true of the other way around. Which means they're roughly in Umbrella around the same time. . .how many fights does Birkin improbably live through?! Guess we'll find out. . .)
And then I finished off things with my queue for The Valice Multiverse, yay. So not a bad afternoon at all. Though I am really hoping that they're right about the weather warming up and the rain washing most of this snow away by morning. Otherwise it's gonna be a hell of a crappy drive in. *grimaces* *peeks outside* It's looking a little slushier, I guess? We'll see what's what when I wake up. For now, I really ought to get to bed. Still got three days left of work to get through. . . Night all!
