Start Of BTTF Days All Over Again
Sep. 1st, 2020 10:04 pmSort of -- admittedly, we don't see September 1st in canon, we just know it as the day Doc sent Marty the letter that kicks things off. But it is still an important date in BTTF history -- and, according to my work calendar which shows how many days have gone by and how many days left we have in a year, we have 121 days left to go from this point. XD So getting the 10:04 update seemed pretty vital!
Have to admit, though, it wasn't the greatest of all Tuesdays today. It was fairly stressful at work (all sorts of little problems and things being dumped in my lap, all the while worrying about all the other stuff I have to get to, along with the Anxiety), and then tonight was a night where I had to make my muffins, which was also kind of a pain in the ass. Not to mention all the queueing I have to get done. . . *sigh* At least I got the good news that we will indeed be closing at 1:30 PM on Friday, so I have a three-and-a-half day weekend to look forward to. My parents have been suggesting I take some real vacation time too. . .maybe end of the month. Having a whole WEEK off to look forward to sounds freaking heavenly right now. Stay home, stay safe, maybe manage not to worry for a few hours. . .
That's for another time, though. Right now, I did have a few nice things happen this afternoon:
-->More beanbag game -- Dad won the first two, with me taking second once and Mom taking second once, then Mom managed to win the last game with Dad in second. I had a good lead in the first game before I blew it with some bad throws -- really gotta remember not to throw across my body! Or to throw too hard so the beanbag bounces off the board. . .trust me, it's all a lot trickier than it looks!
-->Got in a quick workout before supper, go me~
-->Despite the muffins taking ages to complete, I still got in a decent chunk on Chapter 13 of "Secundus 2." Despite everyone's best efforts at keeping him distracted, one scream of pain from Alice sent a furious Victor into the childbirth room to demand what was going on. Only for him to get an eyeful, and -- well, the next section has him waking up from a pretty solid faint. XD He just -- he wasn't quite prepared for what he saw. XD And hey, I'm already about halfway through the chapter (which is just about eleven pages), so making good progress!
-->Did NOT have a lot of time for YouTube, but I fit in a couple of quick things:
A) Time to check out the gameplay trailer for The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey To Batuu! . . .can't say it made me want to buy it, but then again, I fully admit I am not the target audience here. That's people who want to run around Batuu helping out the First Order, Resistance, and/or the scoundrels, getting droids, and having lightsaber duels. I mean, it looks like it's put together well, but – I don't think we'll know for sure until the pack is actually out. (Though at least one clip looked like a full-on reuse from Jungle Adventures. Hmmm.)
B) And then a speed draw of Missi and Duke from Daria Cohen's "Vampair" series, still suffering the consequences of "The Showdown." It ended – messily. But that's what you get when one loses her eye, and the other his thumb! People are like "man, they REALLY need to talk this out." XD
-->And now I'm doing a scramble to complete my Newcrest Adventures update, my Valice Multiverse queue (busier than I expected, fuck), and answer my DW comments. I think I'm going to have to truncate a few things if I'm going to get any of this done. . . *deep sigh* Just kind of the theme of this day, with me either losing time or dropping shit. . .maybe tomorrow will be a little better. Night all!
