crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Warm, sunny (mostly, it was rather cloudy this morning), and absolutely full of pollen -- my car was covered in the stuff when I came out after work today. Bleeh. *shakehead* I love this warmer time of year, but it's not great on the nose, I will admit that much. Hopefully the flowers and trees and such will calm down a little soon!

Anyway, here's how my day went --

Work – Fortunately a fairly quiet Monday back at the office – I spent the morning doing the GL and credit card calls (mostly updates on pledges), then the afternoon cleaning up some failed credit card transactions, doing a few obituaries and a bit of returned mail, and some reversals. *shrug* Nothing too exciting, which is good. And we got out a little earlier today because of graduation stuff, which was even better – always appreciate a bit of extra free time in my afternoons to keep up on my internet stuffs!

As for beanbags, today it was Mom’s turn to have an excellent day, and mine and Dad’s to suck – she won every freaking game, while Dad and I took turns getting second (and tying near-constantly, to my annoyance). Final scores were me 2-3-2; Dad 3-2-3; Mom W-W-W. Maybe I’ll finally manage a win tomorrow!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another night on the bike, another night with the GrayStillPlays compilation “100 Dangerous Pranks That Went TOO FAR!” I pedaled my way through the Boombit “send this person flying across this dangerous landscape and break all their bones” video (which saw Gray smashing up a building site supervisor in a port-a-potty again and again until he finally achieved 100% bone breakage) and a horrible incomplete “motherhood simulator” (which saw Gray able to do things like give a baby a butcher’s cleaver to play with, traumatize them with the sight of their parents having sex, and bribe them with an entire room full of candy to stop them telling Dad about the mother’s infidelity), and I’m partway through a “chores simulator” game (where a girl must do things like scrub the toilet and her mother’s shoes to buy back all the stuff her mother took out of her room – although Grandma, aka Gray’s Wallet, made sure she had enough for her own Segway). XD Ah, Gray has played some ridiculous and broken mobile games over the years. . .

2. Continue editing “Londerland Bloodlines – Downtown Queensland”: Check – Alice is almost done with her portion of the Exposition, having spent today telling Victor about how she killed Bumby (Victor was approving, because fuck that guy) and how she came to be in Los Angeles (figured it was a good idea to move after killing someone and also she wanted a fresh start). We should wrap things up with her talking about how she became a vampire, aka the beginning of “Santa Monica’s Vale Of Tears,” and get back to the action next time!

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check plus, as I kept up with the Subs AND got something out of the Watch Later –

A) First up, from Jon and Many A True Nerd, we had “Many A True Nerd 11th Anniversary Special - The Birthday Cat-astrophe!” Because I wanted to watch the “here are our new kittens” video already, damn it. And it was a delightful video, showing the new arrivals in their kitten nursery as they got used to their new home and their new “big brother” (Ted the golden lab), while Jon explained how he and Claire had gotten them (basically, the pair are sisters, part of a litter that was abandoned by their mother in a barn but fortunately found shortly thereafter and brought to a professional foster who nursed them back to health; and as this particular foster has a pair of German Shepherds, these kittens were already used to big dogs, making them perfect for a home with Ted!). Oh, and the kittens are Xena (the black, more adventurous kitten) and Willow (the more timid tabby) because Jon and Claire are 90s TV nerds. XD Just – lots of feel-good baby animal vibes for the 11th anniversary special. You love to see it. :)

B) And secondly, from GrayStillPlays, we had “I was hired to build my own pirate ship,” aka Gray plays H20 Heroes! You know those cursed car-building battle games that Gray plays sometimes, where he makes horrible monstrosities to beat the various fights with? Here’s the boat version! XD Yes, the aim of this game was to build a pirate ship out of the various blocks, weapons, propellers, and jets you were given, then send them into battle against randomized AI opponents to kick ass, take names, and earn chests to unlock and better kinds of blocks, weapons, and propellers (and occasionally merging them into better items). While Gray was very amused by the early boats with their tiny doom spikes and captured clownfish providing power, he quickly learned that the best way to beat your opponent almost every time was to use a combination of speed and saws – guns were good, but just ramming your opponent as fast as possible and then slicing them the hell up was much better. So Gray concentrated on gathering as many fancy saws, propellers, and especially jets as he could, then stacking the blocks as high as possible to turn his ramshackle little excuse for a ship into a killer death ram. It took a little while to get all the blocks he needed, and a few times his rickety wobbling towers boat was bested, but by the end he was pretty much annihilating all comers. XD Ah, we love to see him building the most bizarre shit that somehow still works as intended. :P

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: N/A – I don’t have anything particular going on on Victor Luvs Alice, and my Wednesday post is already set, so. . . *shrug* Yeah.

Nothing too exciting, I admit, but that's how it goes sometimes. And now it is time for me to head to bed and get ready to repeat the whole process tomorrow. Night all!
