Boxing Day Binge-Watching
Mostly Overly Sarcastic Productions videos, as my subscriptions didn't upload anything new today, and there were only two things I popped into my Watch Later queue from my recommended! O.o Feels a bit weird to have a day where I wasn't scrambling to keep on top of videos. . .and nice to watch more OSP stuff. They do good videos, and I enjoy Red's looks at classic literature (Don Quixote is a lot more than just that windmill incident!) and tropes. A good go-to when I'm not scrambling to keep up with other stuff, I think.
The two videos in the Watch Later queue were also nice:
-->Deli doing a final Christmassy build for her "Get Famous" LP, making a nice rustic-style penthouse for her SimTuber Lux with a few holiday touches (like a tree and a few nutcrackers scattered about). It came out really nice, although I wasn't exactly a fan of the mezzanine-style bedroom she created. If only because I think I would be a little nervous about sleeping in a room whose floor didn't touch all four walls. Still looked cool.
-->OXBox vs OXTra charades! Pretty hilarious match-up this year -- Ellen and Luke were a pretty solid team, while Jane and Andy. . .well, when Jane was doing the charades, Andy guessed pretty much all of them. When Andy was doing the charades, Jane got stuck on the second one. XD Their second round produced a great comeback, but it was still not enough to catch up to the OXTra team. They reign supreme in charades! Good for them. :D
I didn't spend all my time watching YouTube, however. I also:
-->Got my Sims 4 update up on tumblr -- a pretty simple two-parter about Eric having a fairly ordinary day at his job, and his house remodel from last week (I'm still pretty pleased with how it came out)
-->Played some more BioShock Infinite -- we are definitely heading toward endgame stuff, with some time-twisty shenanigans involving a bad future after Elizabeth is recaptured by Songbird. Booker managed to avert it with some help from bad future!Elizabeth, but after being tortured by Comstock, Liz is out for blood. Don't blame her -- the sequence with infiltrating the Comstock Rehabilitation House, where she was being kept, was INTENSE. And not just because of an annoying new enemy that could draw others to my position. Just the whole thing. . .Columbia is a fucked up place, and no mistake. Whew. . .and I've still got the "Burial at Sea" DLC to play through as well! At least during that I'll be back on the familiar soil of Rapture. Also fucked up, but at least I'm a little more used to its particular brand of fucked up.
-->Got in a workout -- been slacking on that during the holidays. Well, tomorrow is going to be the last major dessert day, given it's my birthday and I shall be searching for cake. We're planning on hitting Dave & Buster's, then Gregg's for lunch so I can grab a slice. Fingers crossed it's all good!
-->Started edits on Chapter 11 of "Fixing You!" About damn time, huh? Feeling a touch rusty after the long break, but it'll come together sooner or later. Just gotta keep poking at it. I might want to rewatch a bit of the Dollhouse stuff too, just to get myself back in the right mindset. This is a fairly important chapter, as it leads into the Silent Burtonsville bits in Victor's head, so it's gotta be done right. No rushing!
So yay, fairly productive despite YouTubery! Now I just need to answer the stuff in my inbox, and finish up a late queue for ValiceMultiverse (since I skipped yesterday due to Christmas). I leave you on this adorable picture of Nibbles my pal Mad Scientist drew for me. :) Thanks! Night all!
