Well, there was one thing I wanted to do that should still be good -- if anybody wants to play with any of my characters, you can just comment here with who you want to chat with and a setting (if you care about such things).

After a moment, though, OckDoc steps up. "I'll give it a try, if you show me how," he says, tentacles waving a bit behind him. His reasoning is that he's got four extra arms for a firmer grip, so to speak, so he's the best bet.

"Just like this," I say. "She might wiggle a little cuz she's a wiggle worm but don't be afraid to have a firm grip on her. She's tougher than she looks. She likes to sit up, too, so if you want you could also hold her like this." I hold her so she's sitting upright on my lap facing outward so her head is against my chest if she chooses to flop it, which she probably won't.
Anita herself finds the movements hilarious and she's babbling up a storm while sucking on two fingers.

"She likes you," I say. "Didn't V give you guys kids in the future? You don't have, like, the memories from that time or something?"

He and the other muses shake their heads. "We're all present day, so to speak," VampDoc explains. "From the present fics only. I think she thought it would be confusing to have us remember things that haven't happened yet."
"After Alice's experience over at the Inkwell, I think I agree with her," RolePlayDoc adds.

"Oh," I say to VampDoc and the others. "Huh. I guess I see what you mean. The version of AL that hangs around you guys has a vague idea of what's gone on throughout her time line, past and future...what's not blocked by amnesia, anyways...though she kind of chooses to ignore it. She's good at that."

"Heh," VampDoc2 says. "I don't know how we'd be. Time travel on its own can be confusing enough, especially considering Vic's stance on we remember both old and new time lines."
"I have no idea how you keep it all straight in your heads," Tie-Twister comments, before proceeding to make faces at Anita.
"Slip-ups happen," Marty says. "I gotta be careful when reminiscing with the family in case I accidentally mention something that only happened in the old time line. Luckily most things line up, but. . . ."
