Pretty Much Beat the Cold at Last
My cough's nearly nonexistent, and I haven't had to blow my nose at all -- hooray, health returns to me. About time, I say.
Not much else to say about today -- weather's turned kind of icky again, meh. Teacher had a doctor's appointment this morning, so we had a good two hours at the beginning of class to do our own thing. I did a lot of catching up on stuff in-between working on assignments. Got a lot of future tumblr posts written too. RP's been a little quiet too, but I don't mind that so much -- it was rather busy yesterday, so I welcome the chance to thread with some breaks to breathe.
Editing on Chapter 3 of "Forgetting You" is stalling out a bit, I confess. I think I really do need to watch an Alice LP to be in the proper mood for the Wonderland bits. Either that or have played the appropriate chunk of game myself recently. I might go back to regulating the editing to the weekends just so I'll have those opportunities. *nods*
DragonVale is going well. Alice the Butterfly is all grown up, and I've added my Dodo Carroll to the group. He and Orville live on the Opposites Island now, which is starting to take shape, I'm glad to say. No luck with the Current yet, but I'll keep at it. Planning on doing all my moving and rejiggering of islands this weekend.
Lost one Hearthstone match as Anduin, but won one as Valeera -- and one I didn't think I was gonna win until the minions started working well for me. Think I'm going to make the Hunter my next level-up project -- based on his hero power, I'm thinking maybe HE should have the taunt deck instead of Valeera. We'll see once I actually start playing him.
All right, have a few things to wrap up online before I can hit the sheets -- g'night all!

Sparky won a Gold. Threw Steve into Water.
The other Large Dark finished building, so I put Atropa and Rex in there and sold the regular one. The Fungus will live there as well.
I'm still trying to figure out the Planeteer Island. I hate that it's so bare, lol. In lieu of a fence around the Hibernation Cave and the Dragonsai I'm using flower boxes and bushes. That is a "look but don't touch" area, lol. I also thought of using Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Love dragon egg pedastles(sp?) as decorations. Primary + Primary = Primary, so that'll be easy enough (so I don't have to spend DC on them). The only tricky ones will be Wind (Wind + Wind = Wind or Hypnotic, but not a big deal) and Love. Even though it's expired, I think you can still get one if you breed Love + Love (granted there's seven other dragons you can get, but still...).
So maybe I'll take a break from trying for the Dream and do that. I'll go from shortest incubation time to longest so as not to give myself Full Nursery Syndrome (which I have now...damn that Rainbow!) and Love will be last because it has the most other hybrids and I doubt I'll get it on the first try. And also I'll have to wait for Steve to get out of the Colosseum but that's not a problem.

Edit: Curses! Foiled again! They're having a "Collection Comeback": the Gift (Plant+Fire+Cold - 9h 56m), Reindeer (Cold+Plant - 4h), Winter (Earth+Cold+Air - 19h 12m), and Mistletoe (Tree+Lichen - 6h 24m) are available until June 9th. Um...I got the Gift on the first try with Jabber and Ceres. ^^ So two down (as I already have a Winter and unless I'm mistaken you do, too?) and two to go. I'm using that handy "avoid" function on the Sandbox to avoid [Double] Rainbows and the Sun/Moon. I'm trying for the Reindeer with Spitz and Petal since Ceres is busy (Tree+Lichen could also make a Reindeer).

Sounds good -- I'm still managing with just the one Giant Dark habitat, but I might change that around once I've moved everybody around.
LoL, I see -- too much blank space for your liking? Flower boxes and bushes work very well for borders, I've found. And that's a cool idea! I haven't bothered with any of the egg pedestals yet, but maybe I'll start doing a couple. Have no idea if you can get the Love one though. Guess you'll just have to try and see?
Ahh, yes, good idea. Damn full Nursery syndrome. . .fortunately I haven't been hit by that again yet. Good luck on that!
Or, well, good luck when you start on it. XD I saw the comeback -- congrats on getting the Gift so quickly! I'm breeding Snowflame and Flitvine together, since they can give me either the Gift OR the Reindeer. Mistletoe's Tree + Lichen huh? Maybe I'll take a break from trying to get the Pearl this weekend to try that out. I'm hoping to get the Gift to round out the Cold habitat on the Opposites island. (Though he could get boosted by the Plant boost. . .eh, figure it out later. Also, yes, I have a Winter. Named Daenerys. XD) And yeah, same with me. I do love the Sandbox for that. :) Wish me luck with my own breeding efforts! I've thrown Biff and Simon together right now, and I'm getting an Arctic out of it. :)
