Vicky The Gatherer of Information
Fair amount of my time at work today was spent counting stuff and updating spreadsheets with totals of said stuff and things like that. Appears the project is starting to move forward some! Though who knows how fast -- still a lot of schools to get through, from what I understand. I look at it as a form of job security -- as long as they need me, I'll be there. *nods*
Not much else to say about today:
-->Got some time on the elliptical and watched more "Over The Garden Wall" -- weird show, but amusing enough for workouts. And it wins points for having Christopher Lloyd voice a character.
-->Edited some more of "Triskaidekaphobia," and got the second chapter up: on FF.net and on AO3. Be forewarned, this one's swear-heavy, being from the perspective of Jack Splatter. And creepy, but you knew that already.
-->Did tumblr queues and replies on DW. Hooray for getting shit done.
-->Had thought about the Gryphon from "American McGee's Alice" wearing a train conductor's cap and saving Victor from a Bandersnatch by grabbing him and bringing him to the Looking-Glass Line train. These things amuse me while I'm typing. :P
So now I'm off to read Cake Wrecks, then get some sleep. And hopefully coax some last eggs out of DragonVale. I swear, it stops with four to go just to taunt me. . .

Deliberate in this case -- Jack's not feeling very positive toward Victor in that moment. Though I guess it is confusing when the rest of time he's Van Dort or swell. . .might change it.
Forgotten needs ALL the hugs, so go for it. :P
Kind of sad they aren't doing more doubles, honestly -- these latest prizes are EXPENSIVE. I think I'm gonna have to go online somewhere and beg for DragonVale friends who actually play the game. I THINK I could make both dragons with the one active one I've got, but I'd prefer to be sure. (Very helpful this time not to care about the last prize!)
I'm level 62 too, and still working on those dragons I'm missing -- AND GLORY AND HALLELUJAH, BOROGOVES AND QUARTZ CAME THROUGH! I finally have A GOLD OLYMPUS! Or, at least, its egg -- it'll be hatching later on. Still, about freaking time! That leaves the Seasonal and the Third Snowflake. Hoorah.
I'm keeping Kairos in reserve for double weekends too, though I might use sometime this weekend to help with things, since he'll refresh by next Saturday if I time it right. I last used him on the Monday of the last double weekend -- having a six-hour jump is handy when you can only gather stuff right before leaving for work. I actually missed out twice on the Colosseum last weekend -- first it ended in the morning the day the weekend started, then it ended in the afternoon when the weekend ended. Meeh -- I still got enough to get the habitat. Though that's largely through spending gems to pad my score. :P

Heh, thanks. It just takes practice -- that and a lot of rough drafts. "Forgetting You" needed a LOT of editing to truly bring it up to snuff. Writing out of order can work too, as you've seen. :P I'm sure you'll earn your ending sooner or later!
LOL, I see -- yeah, I'm lucky in that Victor has stuff he can do on his own in the FFV-verse. Is there any sort of job they could give her? I mean, she may not be official Starfleet, but having something to do on the ship would both keep her busy when away from Data and justify her presence to the beaucrats. She's multitalented, there must be some place for her.
I hope you're feeling better now -- sinus infections suuuuuck. *patpat* Especially since Ed's apparently sick. . .projectile vomit, eep. :(

I was thinking about jobs for her but on a starship it's a little tough. Maybe if anything she could work part time in Ten-Forward. I need to look up a few things. I did mention that they'll occasionally ask her about unknown (to them) alien species because she's been around and has lived a long time by then.

Maybe? Or perhaps she could claim she's an alien diplomat/researcher, because of being the font of knowledge about unknown species? *shrug* You know the canon better than I do.
