Decent Enough Thursday
A little scattered, especially with trying to figure out how to put a certain category of gifts on the new system (we're having trouble adapting what we did on the older database to the new one), and me still playing catch-up with so many things -- but I got a bunch of stuff lingering in my inbox sorted, so that's something. One step closer to feeling like I've accomplished something! Plus the ride home was not completely hellish -- main drag was all backed up, but I've had much worse (just yesterday, in fact). And tomorrow's Friday, so that's always nice.
Evening's been pretty solid -- got in a workout, had pastrami sandwiches for supper (I love a good pastrami sandwich), then got a nice chunk done on "Secundus 2." Starting to find my rhythm with the story, I think -- though maybe that's because I reread a bunch of the latter half the story before starting work, and thus was in a properly Secundus mood. At any rate, the gang is on the train to Hill Valley, just pulling up to the station. The reunion with Doc and Marty is nigh, yay! :D Another reason to look forward to Friday -- I'll probably be writing that bit tomorrow. :)
Snagged some chocolate chip cookies (my mom made some, and I'm down to 140 lbs, so I think I'm okay), then spent my video time with The Sim Supply. He finally finished Max Power's new house on the Windenburg dock! :D Buckled down and completed the place in a bunch of livestreams, then moved in the family and added all the little personal touches. Like "arty" pictures of naked Max around the place. XD And a downstairs vault for their wads of cash. House DID prove to be a little -- glitchy, though. Mostly because the kids kept getting stuck weird places. Also the stairs out front vanish if you do ANY sort of building ANYWHERE on the lot. I like the house, but I'm reluctant to download it just for that reason. Still cool, though -- and hey, Max is powering (heh) his way through the Military career. Bugging people and searching the skies. . .he's going to be the world's most Super covert ops man very soon. And of course he's got to complete the StrangerVille mystery. Looking forward to it!
And then the rest of my night has been working on my Valice Multiverse queue (unexpectedly busy today!) and listening to my mom talk about her job once she got home. So now it is the time for clearing out the inbox and hitting the sheets. Still need to decide what I'm doing for Alice's birthday re: Song Saturday on tumblr. . .well, at least I'll have somewhat more time to consider it Friday evening. Night all!
