crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Work was quieter, fortunately -- less demands on my time meaning I could actually catch up with a few things that had been languishing. Still not completely up to speed, but I'm doing much better than I was, that's for damn sure. I even got out for a walk at lunchtime! A kind of chilly walk -- it was in the mid-50s for a high today -- but I had a nice sweater on, so I stayed pretty warm and got to walk around and look at all the trees blooming. That made me feel better. :) And it got me my exercise for the day -- important, considering I had one of those "rides from hell" going home. Accident was backing up traffic on my usual route, so I had to cut through the city and deal with all the traffic there. Worried I might have ended up going through a light a little late, but we'll see. 45 minutes is a pretty shitty commute time when the typical is about 20 or so.

Evening's been nice, though -- I wrote some more on "Secundus 2," and things feel like they're starting to come together properly again. At any rate, I've gotten Victor, Alice, and Lightning out of the house -- plus their mystery passenger Victor didn't notice. :p And I'm really looking forward to getting to the reunion scene between Victor, Doc, and Marty. :) It's gonna be so cute. I love their friendship, seriously. :)

Videos of the evening consisted mostly of another Metro Exodus set from Helloween, featuring the end of the desert section -- Hells accidentally killed some slaves (mostly because he didn't realize they WERE slaves; he WAS trying to knock people out rather than hurt them, but people were coming at him with weapons, aaand. . .) and started some shit while going to confront the Baron, and got the "ending" where one of his compatriots, Damir, decides to stay behind with the badass Guil to help her free their people. The funny thing is, it doesn't feel like a bad end -- instead, it feels like a perfectly natural thing for Damir to do. He was getting very close to Guil, and clearly sympathized with the slaves, especially since he's of the same ethnicity. I thought him leaving to help was a given. But apparently, if you're better at stealth, he thinks he can do more good sticking with the Spartans. *shrug* Ah well -- we still have our lovely badass sniper wife, who's more than willing to sit with us and tell terrible traumatic stories of her childhood. Although Anna still has a nagging cough -- which she's not making better by smoking homemade cigarettes. *shakes finger* Naughty Anna -- we're trying to keep you alive.

Also watched another Yandere Simulator episode from Jay -- new "sanity" animations update. If Yan-Chan's sanity dips below a certain point, she starts hallucinating herself constantly killing her rival, sees everyone not-Senpai as a vague silhouette with hair and will just attack people without even thinking about it if she has a weapon out. It's fairly creepy stuff -- less creepy with Jay's commentary and accidentally glitching out the game regularly, but still. XD

And I listened to Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie's new song, "Me!" which -- I'm gonna have to feature it on a Song Saturday on tumblr, because a) it's a good song and has a decent Valice vibe b) the music video is SOMETHING ELSE. XD I mean, I've watched them individually, and they've made some wild videos before, but put them TOGETHER. . .it's a trip. Go look it up on YouTube, you shan't regret it.

All right, now that I've gotten most of my Victor Luvs Alice queue sorted, I should take care of the rest of the inbox and head to bed. Just a couple of days to go. . . Hopefully there will be no major disasters between now and Friday. Night all!
