12 Days of Christmas: Day One
Yup, I didn't forget about this! Despite all my pony marathoning. Fortunately, I'm finally caught up, so we're good.
-D: *laugh* At last.-
-VD2: You're disturbingly dedicated when you get a new obsession.-
I know. May I say I love Celestia's "wtf is this" face? Her expression when dealing with Rarity in "Sweet and Elite. . ." XD And Luna -- oooh, Luna. :D "Nightmare Night" might be one of my favorite episodes. :)

“OH!”
Alice’s head jerked up as she heard the exclamation, followed by a loud crash. Turning, she saw a familiar pair of butterfly wings in a tree. “Victor! Really, you tried flying today?” she demanded, trotting up to the tree. “The wind’s terrible! Are you trying to get yourself killed?”
A rather dazed-looking flutter pegasus smiled sheepishly down at her. “Do forgive me,” he said. “I just – I couldn’t help myself. I finally learned how to work these properly, and--”
“Yes, yes, I know.” Alice sighed. “Here, I’ll give you a hoof down. Or a horn, to be perfectly precise.” She concentrated, and an aura of sparkling blue surrounded Victor, picking him up and depositing him safely on the ground. “You’re just not allowed to kill yourself before Hearth’s Warming Eve. I haven’t celebrated that in ages, and I want someone to celebrate with.”
Victor blushed and looked away. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to crash. Then again, I don’t mean to fall over as much as I do either,” he sighed.
Alice nuzzled his mane. “I know you didn’t. I just – want you to be careful.” She sighed. “I don’t want to lose you too.”
Victor nuzzled her mane right back. “I’m not going anywhere,” he promised. “Particularly n-not before Hearth’s Warming Eve.” He smiled shyly. “I w-want to see you open the p-present I got you.”
“Oh, Victor, you didn’t have to do that.” Alice kissed his cheek. “You are enough of a present. Not that I’m saying no to the actual present, of course.”
Victor laughed. “Of course not. I love you, Alice.”
“I love you too. But do me a favor and keep all four feet on terra equestria for the rest of today.”
-M: How did we know it would be ponies?-
Hey, it helps me work it out of my system. Yes -- I showed you the pictures, so here's the fic. I imagine Victor as being someone who's a little slow to start flying, but absolutely loves it once he gets the hang of it -- so he starts off like Fluttershy, and ends up a bit more like Rainbow Dash. :p The crash fit well with "blustery," so I just worked with that.
-M2: What's "Heart's Warming Eve?" Their version of Christmas?-
I think so -- the episode hasn't aired yet, but the signs point to it being a Christmas-like episode. I kept it deliberately vague because we don't know the precise details. But hey, who doesn't like presents, no matter what the occasion?
-HD: *pouring tea* Does this take place in Ponyville?-
I dunno -- I wasn't thinking of a specific location. It just happens to have trees. I have thought of little scenarios where Victor and family move to Ponyville, and then Alice is discovered living in the Everfree Forest, after which a crush results.
-TD: As it does. So, what sort of magic does Alicecorn have?-
Illusion spells, mostly. I'd imagine she likes to make herself look as she does in Wonderland when she can. I'm thinking the present would be an omega necklace for her for real.
-VDM: Sounds very sweet to me.-
:) I thought so.
And that's one story out of the way! Sorry if it's not my best work, but my brain's been going "must watch ponies" for ages now. Since I'm caught up, I should resume a more regular schedule. But for now, tumblr RP! And bed. Mustn't forget that. Night!
