12 Days of Christmas: Day Five
Well, I'm a little earlier, anyway. So here, have a less rushed Day 5:
“This is my side, Jules! You stay on your side!”
“You don’t keep a consistent boundary! How can I stay on my side when the area of my side keeps changing?”
“Maybe your butt’s just getting bigger.”
“Maybe yours is.”
“Boys, please,” Clara said, looking back at them. “You shouldn’t be arguing so close to Christmas. Santa might overhear. He sees everything, you know.”
“Can he really keep track of every child everywhere?” Verne asked, skeptically. “Wouldn’t that mean never sleeping or eating or going to the toilet? And having ten million eyes?”
“He probably has an elaborate network of elves that report back to him,” Jules hypothesized.
“Yeah, but how many elves would that take?”
“Well, you can discount any place that doesn’t celebrate Christmas. . . .”
Doc bit back a laugh as his sons started debating how Santa’s little spy network might operate. “Kids,” he mumbled, pulling on the reigns to make the horses turn left.
“Dad, do you think Santa’s sleigh works like your time machine?” Jules asked him suddenly. “It would make a lot of sense.”
“I’ve never met the man,” Doc said, smiling. “But honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised. It would explain a lot.”
“You should see if you could modify this sleigh to be a time machine,” Verne said. “Then we could know for sure.”
“. . .Vernie, we only rented this for a couple of hours. And I don’t think Mr. Statler would appreciate ‘improvements.’”
-M: *snicker* Your canon kids are hilarious, Doc.-
-D: *chuckles* Really depends on who's writing them, but in this case I agree.-
*giggles* This is a basic BTTF fic -- no specific universe, it's just after canon. Doc and family are actually living in the 80s again, but they're visiting their old time period to take a Christmas sleigh ride. As you can see, this can lead to very interesting conversations.
-M2: I'll say. Though I like the idea of elf spies. And Santa having the ability to time travel does make a lot of sense.-
*nods* It's just a bit of Brown family-based fluff for the season. I also don't want the prompts being completely swallowed up by Victor and Alice. I may love them to pieces, but BTTF's always going to be my first love.
Not too much else to report about today, though I did play Sims. You can expect an Alice-themed
ink_sec_sims update in the near future. I have a sur-prise. . .
-RPD: Oh dear, those poor Sims.-
Oh no, it's a pretty happy surprise. Promise.
Anyway, gotta go answer today's
charloft prompt, so later!
