Who Wants To Hear About EVL?
He and his lady love have accomplished a fair bit -- not getting married, but that'll be next update. That's when they both have a day off together, and I should be able to get a friend or two of theirs together to watch them get married. (Which should happen at Pastor Galswells's Church! My first community lot marriage!)
Thursday

Felicia takes a break from reading up on The Ways of Light (I want to keep her fairly good to keep some of the higher-level good spells) to ponder her map of Twikki Island.

This is mainly what these two like to do. The Throne of Light is the best chair for studying ever. And once Felicia finally gets high enough to get the "learn everything" bookcase. . .this family will be unstoppable.

Though sometimes, you just gotta stop and make snow angels.

Dude. It's just a little magic, not something life-threatening. Like wearing shorts in the dead of winter, for example.

EVL needs friends to get out of this ridiculous "going to work at 2 AM" bullshit, so Felicia, upon getting home early thanks to a lucky chance card promotion (she made Substitute Teacher!), summons up an acquaintance, Ryan.

Delayed reaction much? You seemed fine with teleporting in a minute ago.

But he stays and chats, and that's all you can ask. Felicia's now got a friend of her own, yay. (She didn't come in knowing very many people, and she doesn't have much of a relationship with any of them.)

EVL also gets social for a change, calling up Leo from the welcome wagon and making pals, then shoring up his friendship with work acquaintance Vyn.

I find it amusing that while EVL is happily talking about fortune-telling to Vyn downstairs, Felicia is arguing charismatically against it upstairs.

Figured Felicia should do some more stuff with her predestined hobby, so she went bug hunting. Got herself one of the beetles -- good for her.
Friday

In the wee hours of the morning, EVL maxes out his Cooking skill. That's two down! This is also when I realized he doesn't have work today, so making friends yesterday afternoon was a bit pointless. Ah well, he has them now. (It's also worth nothing that he and Felicia both now have hobby lot cards to Sue's Secret Kitchen for Cuisine. Felicia also has the Nature and Arts & Crafts cards, while EVL has Tinkering. I ought to send them to visit these lots sometime.)

The wee hours of the morning also bring on spring, so I set up a little garden plot for my pair to work. (I also discover that that discount Felicia earned from Ryan as a Networking bonus (20% off stuff) also applies to Build Mode things like garden plots and orange trees! Yay!) Felicia's the one who wants to start planting, so I have her do the initial gardening. In her pajamas, yes -- she rediscovered the bed last night. :p

EVL does some treasure hunting while his fiance's at work. His first attempt yields just a bone, but his second yields the secret lot map for Takemizu Village, the Pagoda in the Shadows! I wanted to visit Takemizu for their honeymoon, and now I have the perfect excuse!

More Servo crafting. These things take longer than I remembered.

Bored of robotics, EVL invites Leo over for some social.

And then promptly decides to babble at him about Tinkering.

Fortunately, Leo himself is a fan.

Felicia comes home with a promotion to Elementary School Teacher and the memory of having earned $5000. Good for her.

And then it starts snowing, making me panic over the newly-planted tomatoes. Fortunately, it turns out to be a brief shower with no accumulation. Also, notice something new? I checked to make sure Felicia wasn't in a position to grab the "Books First For Learning" bookshelf, and then remembered EVL has earned a koi pond from his job. So I plopped it down.

EVL seems rather less than impressed. Frankly, so am I. It's just a decorative object, really -- not the sort of thing you expect as a career reward.

Hobby enthusiasm gaining. EVL's had the want to max out Tinkering for a while now -- come on. . .

FINALLY! I do NOT remember it taking this long with Emmett over in Inkwell Secundus! (Then again, I could be remembering wrong.)

There's his plaque on the wall -- and his new map for good measure. But that went straight back in his inventory after the picture.

Felicia's hungry after some hardcore Charisma skilling -- and for a change, I decide to have her use the stove! She's making a chocolate fudge cheesecake I have in my Downloads folder.

It does smell good, doesn't it EVL? But since you're not hungry at the moment, your piece will have to go into the fridge.

EVL puts his Bronze Gardening badge to work. Hopefully they'll get a good crop of tomatoes out of this. And a good crop of oranges. (I should buy them a juicer. And more counters. Something.)

And we end on EVL finally finishing Tom! I haven't woken the Servo up yet -- I might wait until after the honeymoon. But now at least the bench is free for EVL to work on making stock for his future shop.
Busy little beaver, aren't they? A very productive two days, I feel. Now I should go see about being productive myself. . .though, actually, I have gotten two pages written on "Secundus" this weekend. So that's good!
