Yeah, Officially Into This Crossover Thing

Been poking around the Bioshock Wiki looking for stuff that roughly matches Alice's own abilities. There's actually a Gene Tonic called "Leg Up" that allows for better jumping, so I guess her jumping abilities are a tonic. Or really, a tonic + a Plasmid that allows for quick movement -- that could stand in for her float ability. Also, in the multiplayer part of "Bioshock 2," you get a large variety of melee weapons (they all work about the same, but hey, cosmetic differences are better than none?), and one of them is a knife.

With an icon that looks oddly like the Vorpal Blade. XD Yeah, I know, it's probably nothing, but I still think it's funny.

Also, 100 Drabbles roundup! I explored the characters of two of Doc's less-mentioned kids, and two of the drabbles are related in some way to "Bioshock." Natch.

Hope you enjoy! Now, I've got to finish statting out Alice as a Bioshock character so I can get back to the things I'm actually SUPPOSED to be working on.

Sports Boost, maybe? I've only played the main games, myself, so I wouldn't know.

...Also, just had a vision of Alice as a younger Lady Smith model Splicer. Admittedly a nicer version...

Yeah, I've got that as one of her Tonics. I think the Bioshock 1 version works better for her than the 2 version, though, since 1's has also swinging your weapon more quickly.

I've seen a piece of fanart on devART of Alice as a Splicer. I think the artist had her as a Spider Splicer. (Also, have gotten a look at what I believe is Tenenbaum's model in the first game.

She looks scarily like Edna Strickland.)

Muuuch nicer, though, or at least saner. At least by the time you meet her.

I think the artist had her as a Spider Splicer.

Original BioShock or BioShock 2 Spider Splicer? 'Cause the ones from 2, well, streak giggling into "OH DEAR GOD WHY KILL IT WITH FIRE" (in a good way) territory.

Yes, so I've heard. I think if there's anyone who acts like Edna, it's probably Sophia Lamb.

Well, I tracked it down: Splicer Alice (http://lilittu.deviantart.com/art/splicer-Alice-274152128). It doesn't specify -- honestly, I only guessed Spider because she's got hooks. (Looks good for a Splicer, don't she? :p)

Definitely, though in my opinion, Dr. Lamb miiiight be just a little worse if we're comparing how they get things done.

Yeah, this is true. Of course, Edna and Doc never had any kids, so we can't be truly sure.

(Sofia and Edna have weirdly similar hairstyles, I've noticed.)

Also - significantly lower body count, as far as we know (not counting the two fires.)

Intent, too - the closest she's come to deliberate murder was trying to kill Doc and Marty as Pickford!Edna, and threatening to burn Beauregard in his own saloon. Lamb, by comparison, has two mass drownings (Siren Alley and Persephone) - the first happened simply to make a point - two deaths via mind-control (Delta and Sinclair), and her suffocation of Eleanor to her name.

Not to mention all the people who died so she could get enough ADAM for Eleanor - and Mark Meltzer.

Also true! And Edna, we know, can be redeemed (or at least become less of a jerk -- I'm not sure if marrying Kid Tannen, a gangster, quite counts as "redemption"). We never really see anything like that with Sofia, I don't think. Even if Eleanor thinks she can be redeemed in the pure good ending.

Oh ye Gods, Mark. . .talk about a story that yanks at your heartstrings! Poor guy. . .
