crossover_chickI promised fic (even though it was at the last moment) and fic I shall deliver:
“Sooo. . .this whole ‘getting them married’ business is taking longer than we all expected.”
“Tell me about it,” Marty replied, rolling his eyes. “She’s always talking about how she wants ‘em to have a summer wedding, and now. . . .” He rolled his shoulders in a shrug. “Then again, not like we haven’t known her long enough to figure out she puts shit off. And her new job’s taking up a TON of her time these days, so. . . .”
“Yeah, fair enough – but I think you and I both know the real culprit here.” Jack jerked his thumb toward the Victor hunched over his sketchbook a table over. “Mr. Tumblr has taken over her entire life, hasn’t he?”
“Technically there’s two Mr. Tumblrs, but you’re not wrong,” Marty admitted with a laugh. “Forgotten Vows is definitely the favorite. But hey, he’s a cool guy. Doesn’t lord it over us that Vic loves him best.”
“I can hear you, you know.”
“Wasn’t trying to hide it,” Jack replied, leaning back in his chair. “And I’m sure you’re a fine specimen of humanity. I’m just wondering how you feel about holding up a wedding your fellow muses and mine are kind of looking forward to.”
Forgotten Vows lifted his head and smirked at Jack. “I’ve been engaged for about two and a half years now – and had to change Alices in the middle of that time period when the one I originally proposed to dropped.”
“. . .So, does he win all the shitty life contests?”
“Depends on if you feel getting kidnapped and your brain wiped clean is worse when a Fae does it, or a fellow human.”
Making fun of my own procrastination here, because that only seemed appropriate under the circumstances. @-@ Originally this was Marty talking with Clark, but as I wrote it the second voice just somehow started sounding more appropriate for Jack. *shrug* And yes, of my three Victors, Butterfly Boy is the only who is actually wed. Forgotten Vows was supposed to be married long before this, but after said Alice switch -- well, my Alice mun has a pretty damn busy life herself, sooo. . . Still, things to get on before the year ends. Also Victor's, because there's one darn thing I want to do before I actually do a "hey we're married" post. Long weekend, save me!
Anyway, I hope this amuses you, and I'm sorry for pretty much forgetting. :(
Okay, I have a ton of things to catch up on and the like. Need to make a schedule. . .one thing's for certain, though. Tomorrow is the great Drakenguard 3 Marathon. I like that LP and I want to catch up on it. And once that's done, I'll feel like I'll have more time for other stuff.
DragonVale's Halloween theme is still sufficiently amusing and wonderful -- the new music is just great. :D I've gotten the first candy reward -- a special spooky lantern -- and I'm working on the second, the Nosferatu pedestal. I'm also having thoughts about Island themes -- since they're so expensive, I'm thinking of limiting whatever ones I get to my epics islands. We'll see how that goes, though -- so far, I'm only going to have two themes for free for sure (Plant and Dark).
In Spellfall -- almost done with the Temple of Cold. I just need to defeat the end boss!
. . .who is a FIRE MONSTER, WHAT THE HELL. Blackflip, are you trolling? Well, this plus the Temple of Flame being recaptured has certainly sealed the deal on which sword I'll be getting Monday! Water for the win! (Literally.)
And now I should at least make an attempt to be productive RP-wise.
