Error Prone...
Nov. 28th, 2025 11:04 pm10:47pm: Well, I got home from the Archery Presentation and Christmas Party night about an hour ago and I'm sleeepy, so as ever I'll make it quick.
In regards to my subject heading, well, I made the dubious decision of trying to create a new order for the magazines. I think, in the end, everything was mostly OK, but I won't know until next Tuesday when I can speak to my work colleague. But yes, my first error, accidentally selecting the wrong magazine title to re-new - fortunately, the cost of it is the same so not a disaster. Then when I got the right title, I somehow managed to give two issues the same name (ie two December issues instead of a December one and a Christmas one), and thought for a good half an hour that we'd had double-ups. Sometimes we do get those, but there's a different process to dealing with those... But after looking into it, I managed to get the title right and everything seems to be OK.
I also discovered that somehow, we actually misspelled the name of one of our suppliers in our library management system! It doesn't actually impact anything, but still how embarrassing! I'm not sure if it can be fixed and I wonder if my colleague ever noticed...
And finally, I totally forgot to remind my other work colleague of an upcoming meeting of the City library's ILL services. The group has meeting every month or so and two of them are in person. Now when I was doing the ILLs our Collections Leader was annoyed when I didn't attend one in person - even though the next one I went to was literally twenty minutes long and it took me an hour to get into the State Library and then back to work. Anyway, the notice for the meeting came when my other work colleague was away and I meant to tell him about it, but I forgot until today and the meeting in question is this coming Monday afternoon! Ugh. In the end though, our Branch Manager said it wasn't really worth going in, still hopefully neither me or my colleague will get in trouble.
Right, so my eyes keep closing and while I could check to see if the Friday 5 is up, I think I'm gonna hit the hay.
On the upside...our team at the Archery Night Games came third! There was no prize, but go Table 3!
Goodnight!
