Thursday of Suck

crossover_chick1) Had to use my lunchbreak to go to the Randstad office and sort out my paycheck woes, which involved me having to get a paycard (basically a kind of debit card for paychecks, it seems) instead, complete with navigating a rather annoying menu to set it up. And I still have to activate the damn thing (it says you have to wait 24 hours for ~mystical reasons~). Did I mention I had to hike over there in 80+ degree weather (in fact, it probably felt closer to 90)? Did I mention that my missing check FINALLY SHOWED UP WHEN I GOT HOME THIS AFTERNOON? Uuuugh. . .
2) One of Mom's coworker's couldn't make her shift today (granted, for legitimate medical emergency involving her baby), so she had to stay extra hours, which naturally ticked her off and made her worried she wasn't going to get her promised vacation. Which naturally stresses me out too, because of the whole 'I want her to be happy' thing.
3) Couldn't even bother to be SUNNY and hot -- I spent a good chunk of the day wondering if it was gonna rain.
4) Another slow one at work, not made any more fun when I came back all sweaty from my trip.
So yeah, not a nice day. Only upsides are getting my tumblr queues done early, and learning about a great new song from a tumblr pal. Right now, though, I'm really all for the sleep thing, so I'm gonna throw up the replies I drafted to a couple of my DW tags and hit the sheets. Night all!
