Warming Up Wednesday

crossover_chickAKA, we probably hit 80, or got very near to it today. Hooray for proper summer weather! Although it was off and on clouds most of the day, and we're supposed to get thunderstorms tonight and showers tomorrow. . .meh. At least it's supposed to stay reasonably warm. And the weekend's looking nice, which is good. Dunno if we have anything planned -- I DO have to get my room properly cleaned, it's been a couple of weeks now since I dusted. Didn't really get anything done last weekend thanks to mini-golf Saturday and the stalled-out bowling trip that didn't happen Sunday. . .
Work was all right -- back to the normal amount of mild chaos, though it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Actually managed to chase down a problem with a check that been's on my radar for a couple of weeks now, and got something back that will allow me to take care of a different problem. Slowly but surely things are falling into place. . .I hope, anyway. Just got a few more bundles of returns, which means new and different problems! Ah, the cycle of life. . . But if it at least stays at this sort of "dull roar," I'll be happy enough.
Evening was okay -- not a lot of traffic coming home (though, again, it was heavy going in -- fortunately I still got in on time), but I ran into some delays while getting gas thanks to a new person at the counter having trouble with a couple of transactions. Managed to get my $20's worth in the end, but it took longer than anticipated. Still got in my walk, though, and we had one of my favorite summer suppers -- meatball sandwiches! Om nom nom~ :D I love a good meatball sandwich. And then I got in my writing -- Victor confessing just how scared he is that he'll snap one day and hurt his kid to Marty, and Marty pointing out that Victor has not done that to anyone ELSE he cares about yet, so. . .not a perfect argument, but it'll at least get Victor back to bed, and that's the important thing right now. :p They can work on getting him to trust himself more fully later.

A) Another episode of The Sim Supply's Super Sim Challenge -- James has been making a lot of extra saves this time around, thanks to his bad experience with the entire game glitching out the in the last episode (twice, in face -- once on-camera, once off). He's also letting the StrangerVille stuff lie for the moment, concentrating on getting Max in a new career (Max is gonna be an Astronaut now!), rebuying Max Towers as a "retail store" (basically he just wants Max to own his old house again -- possibly as a way for him to get away from his children), and wrangling the family as best he can (he is not fond of his toddlers and has referred to them as "these things," which the comments are ragging on him about XD). Fairly domestic, but I'll take that over the game crashing! Let's not corrupt a save file or three, thanks.
B) Call Me Kevin outing himself as a "Kevin Justice Warrior" and going on the subreddit "Stories About Kevin" (about fairly idiotic examples of the human race that, thanks to the earliest story using it to disguise the person in question's identity, are called collectively "Kevin") to defend his brethren! . . .too bad his brethren seem to be morons. Often racist morons, if the stories are to be believed. Though there was a cute one where someone quietly outed themselves as a "Kevin," amazed that their new fiance is able to put up with such antics as driving to the wrong state when it came time to meet the future in-laws. Kevin himself apparently expects to end up on the subreddit one day. XD Well, if some of your Sims ever end up with access to a real-world computer. . .
C) And another Call Me Kevin video, this time showing his perspective of his recent Portal 2 co-op shenanigans with RTGamer. XD Just as funny this time around, I will say. XD
And then the rest of the evening's been about catching up on webcomics and getting my Victor Luvs Alice queue sorted. I've been feeling a bit stuck on what to do for Forgotten Vows Friday -- I'm so used to either a) having a bit of fic to post or b) working on a bit of fic to post. But since I'm trying to focus on "Secundus 2" now. . .was thinking of doing something related to the suits I came up with for Victor to wear in Wonderland, but -- hmmm. May have to ponder a bit more. (Did just check and realize the damn verse is almost exactly 7 years old now. . .yeah, I started working on it back in June 2012! Holy crap. . .)
Anyway! Got some stuff in the inbox to answer, then have to hit the sheets. And probably close my windows, just in case of rain. Love to leave them open, but I don't want my floor to end up wet. . .or worse, my carpet. . . Night all!
