Hmm... also the Red Death one must have hit some interesting genes, but actually makes more sense with this theory, as Garthim eyes glow. Not as much as that, and they're blue, but the Fallout ones mush ave bred away from glowy eyes because it would attract predators or something... and then that one just got extra piles of recessives somehow.
