Well the quest is kind of literally just "go to this island with the Mariner -> discover 'Red Death' is tiny Mirelurk -> convince Mariner to either tell the truth, lie and say we didn't find it, or lie and imply it was a bigger fight than it was -> kill Red Death -> go back to Far Harbor and reap consequences of your previous decision regarding the story the Mariner tells everyone." And I have no idea what code Bethesda uses -- "Papyrus" has been bandied around on NexusMods? *shrug* I'm not a coder, I just reap what other people sow. (And LOL, I see -- it's just nice to have more variety! And makes me think you might kind of enjoy the settlement-building bits of FO4. . .) I'm sure the specifications are available somewhere, I'm just not sure where.
Mmmmm, yes, I well know. And I'm sure plenty of people would want to be saved from the post-nuclear-apocalypse. :p
