Attention all Sims
Oct. 15th, 2004 10:33 pmYou will now have your radios semi-permanently set to the Pop station. You may switch to Salsa for working out.
-D: Any particular reason for setting it to one station?-
I love a song on the pop station. *grooves*
-M: You're weird.-
*sticks out tongue* Played the Browns, Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday, Abhijeet Cho happened to drop by the Browns, allowing Doc to say hello. Doc also got a body skill point excercising to the radio. He's got a point in everything now. When George got home, I had him call Holly. She asked to bring a friend, I said yes -- she brought David Gibbon. Ah well, not a total loss -- George talked to Holly while Marty chatted up Dave. They got within a few points of being best friends before I dismissed the teen. George learned how to make a new dish for supper -- salmon! I didn't even know you could make that with the toaster oven. Honestly, the microwave in this game is a gyp. Toaster oven every time. Anyway, the shower broke again, but maxed-out mechanical Doc was able to fix it this time.
Thursday came along. George encouraged Marty to be nice, then Marty taught him how to dance. :) George had the day off -- I spent it giving him the necessary skills for another promotion. Doc had Clara over for a few minutes, then tried to invite Josephine. Caught her at work accidentally. While Doc worked on his painting, I decided the boys deserved a life upgrade. I traded in the toaster oven and some countertop for a stove, and the shower for a lovely bathtub.
-M: About time.-
I also locked Doc's want for a piano. :)
Marty came home with a friend, Tina. I suddenly was inspired and decided to try out the "Cool Shades" reward object (the boys are great at earning points). They're not as cool as I thought:

-M: Good grief, who am I? Elton John?-
*laughs* Hey, they worked -- your joke gave your relationship a major boost. You guys danced together, and eventually became pals as well. She left to use her home facilities. George learned another new meal, spaghetti. And, to end the day, the sink decided to break. I'll have to have Doc fix that.
-D: I take it I'm the home handyman.-
Yup. This is how it goes -- George cleans, you repair, Marty makes friends.
-M: Dad hasn't met Mom yet though?-
No, but I think I've got an idea. I looked through your relationships -- you know Lorraine at the just-met level. I'll play the Claytons and have Lorraine chat you up. Then I can invite her over, and get her to know George.
-J: Sounds like a plan.-
Yup. Can't believe it took me that long to think of it. *blush*
