Played my Simmies today, after a long absence. Went to my Strangetown Browns and decided to try and get Marty into private school. Tuesday, there was another bathroom breakage that Doc had to fix -- the sink. Marty and Lorraine chatted before school, and they finally made friends with each other. :) Doc had Mysteria over to get his aspirations up -- he appreciated her and told her jokes. After school, Marty called up his friend Kendal, and they got back into the 90s daily. I guess having Kendal befriend Jennifer helped a little. :p Lorraine got a big boost with Marty by helping him with his homework, but nearly sabatoged things by not letting him go out. They're okay now, though. Lorraine also learned how to make Lobster Thermidor through a fairly arduous process. She burned the first one, then she and George each took out a serving to eat. I had Lorraine hop in the energizer, then she made the two servings for Doc and Marty to eat. This resulted in her having to get groceries early Wednesday morning. I noticed something funny when her wants spun as she entered the community lot -- one of them was "Invite George McFly Over!" That seemed so out of place now that they're married! She grabbed the groceries, everyone got some sleep, and after breakfast that morning (and Marty earning a skill point and pulling himself out of the aspiration gutter with that), George invited the headmaster over for dinner. Lorraine and Doc made friends (one of Lorraine's wants was to make Doc a best friend, aw), and Doc ended up missing a day of work due to his studying cleaning. The headmaster showed up at five -- food was excellent, tour was okay -- but we fell down on Schmooze points. I'm not exactly sure how you schmooze the headmaster -- the actual option tends to lead to lowering the points. ?? So Marty didn't get in this time.

Yeah. On the plus side, you're back in platinum because you sold a masterpiece from the art easel, and that's what really matters.
Then, in the wee hours of Thursday morning, I got my first-ever Sims2 Burglar!

Named Ollie Phelps, he crept into the house and set off the burglar alarm. I think he wanted to steal our bathtub for some reason, but along came police officer Jenna, who subdued the crook:
Marty, Doc, and Lorraine watched the fight while George attempted to clean up the turkey. :D Jenna took the burglar away, then gave us a 500-simoleon award for catching him. I sent George, Lorraine, and Doc back to bed -- Marty wasn't tired so I had him green up and start studying skills. The break-in really affected him, though -- he kept pausing to cry.
