I Hate Rushes

Today at work started out really slow. I made the mistake of thinking, "Man, I wish we had some customers." Oh, boy, did we ever get them. I ended up staying an hour later again to help with the bagging and the pickups (that's what it was mostly today).
Major annoyance of the day: This woman who came in with a bunch of clothes, and when I asked her what she had (as is my wont), she said "Oh, I don't know."
THEY'RE YOUR CLOTHES, HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW?!
Sorry, but not knowing what you're bringing in ticks me off. It's a lot easier on me, the newer girl, when you can at least give me a rough estimate of what you're bringing in. (Like, "I have mostly sweaters" or something.) Plus, this particular woman apparently uses us for all her laundry needs -- she had a TON of stuff in the back, totalling up to an over $200 pickup order. O.o Well, I suppose she's good for business.

As for Sims, I've put myself on a sort of rotating schedule, so I played Strangetown today. I messed around a bit with the premade families, then played a family I'd been neglecting for awhile -- the Smyth-Jones. I started them on late Saturday. I had Adelaide call Henry to chat. No sooner had she hung up than Jennifer Parker called J.C. Adelaide stayed up most of the night studying cleaning for her next promotion. Sunday morning, Adelaide called Henry again and made friends. J.C. played chess until Adelaide headed off to work, then called Marty McFly to up their relationship. I then had her invite Ripp Grunt over. I've decided that dear old Ripp shall be her boyfriend.

J.C. was actually able to use the bathroom and collect from the money tree while the boys played. They eventually left because of the bathroom need. Adelaide came home with a promotion to Resident, making her very happy. She and J.C. interacted a little, and J.C. called Ripp on the phone and befriended him. On Monday, the girls shared a cereal breakfast together, then J.C. headed to school. Adelaide attempted to call Bella Goth, but was foiled by her answering machine. J.C. won the SimCity Spelling Bee and added 225 simoleons to their household funds. When she got on, she painted, then called up her buddy Ripp, then did other fun things and her homework before going to bed. Adelaide headed to work, and came home with a want for a sculpture costing more than 500 simoleons. So I gave them a little fountain on the walk to work. :)

Yeah, and hopefully it'll help Adelaide get her promotion. She's the second Sim with a career related Lifetime want that fits the career she's got -- Medical. The first was Emmett Von Braun and his want to become a Mad Scientist (which should be super easy now that he's going through college -- major career boost).
