Today was Blah
Aug. 25th, 2005 10:30 pmWork was stressful -- got a customer who we had to redo some clothes for (and who copped an attitude about it). It was also busy, but strangely this didn't make the time pass any faster. :( I swear, time went quicker yesterday, when it was practically dead. And then, after work, I join my parents at the beach -- and get crapped on by a seagull. A nice BIG crap too, on my thigh. (First person to crack the "good luck" joke gets cyber glare of DOOM.) And of course, I'm on the tail end of "that time of the month," so I'm naturally a bit more bitchy. Ugh.
-D: *cautiously pats shoulder* Well, things can only go up from here, right?-
I hope so. Luckily tomorrow is Friday -- yay for the weekend. Plan to do story, Sims, and Girl Genius-y stuff.
Speaking of Sims, I got a nice surprise yesterday. I played the Von Braun/Shaw household in Twin Oaks Park, just to get Emily's baby born. Elias made a sucessful transition into a elder and sold a best-selling book, while Sabastian got promoted to Rookie at his Althetic job while I waited.
Then, at roughly 5 o'clock Sunday Sim Time, Emily went into labor. Everyone rushed to watch, and then the graphic came up that said that "there's a baby on the way, please wait for the stork." I didn't pay much attention to it -- I've seen it three times now, not anything interesting. While I waited for the baby to be born, I found myself thinking about Sim Twins, and how neat it would be to get a pair --
And this prompted me to take another look at the graphic.
"There are TWO new babies on the way!"
Two babies.
EMILY. HAD. TWINS.

-E: O.O Wow!-
-H: Hehe, congrats Emily! Identical, fraternal, what are they?-
Fraternal boys -- Jason, who was first, has his mother's brown eyes, but it looks like Keith, the second, got his father's grey ones. Emily and Sabastian are all happy now, and I've set the babies up in their bedroom for the moment.

Keith is in the yellow crib, Jason in the blue one.
-M: Does Emily want to have another baby already? Aren't Family Sims bad like that?-
Heh, I don't think so. At any rate, I won't impregnate her again until these two are kids. And her next pregnancy shall be her last -- her lifetime want is to graduate three kids from college, and I want to keep the population at a managable level.
-E: Fine with me, three kids would be my limit too.-
Good. :p I'm hoping the next kid is a little girl -- fanon!Emily has a daughter named Harriet, who in turn gives birth to Jaime Reese, the white cop seen in BTTF II. I thought it would be neat to link her to Doc.
-D: *grin* We like having extended family.-
-VD2: Especially living extended family.-
-E: *hugs* I'm not going anywhere, bro.-
-VD2: *bit startled, but smiles and hugs back* I know you're not.-
Awww, how cute.
In other news, I've updated my devart muchly. More dingbots and Chapter 6 of "Eight Arms To Hold You." Check It Out
-TD: You like writing crossovers, don't you?-
Stop wearing down my resolve over VictorianGirlGenius!Boy Genius (that looks WEIRD, btw). I'm already giving you story scenes during spare moments at work.
-H: But it's so interesting! And damn it, you've got the prologue plotted.-
Stop it! I already caved with the "Ockdoc--"
You've been giving them lessons, haven't you OckDoc?
-OD: You're thinking of it in terms of a comic book! We have to help promote it! *tentacles chitter and nodnod*-
It's not like I'm actually going to draw it!
-OD: It's the principle of the thing.-
*headdesk* Muses. . . .
Oh, and because
martyfan just informed me, happy birthday
