Wednesday Already?
Oct. 19th, 2005 10:39 pmDespite the fact that the days at work are dragging a little, the week itself is going by pretty fast. Work today was pretty dull, the usual -- only got one somewhat-sucky customer, a woman who was having pants shortened for her son but didn't know how much she wanted them shortened. People, please measure BEFORE you come here, not after.
-TD: Suddenly I'm glad that all my retail jobs came to an end quickly. Then again, people were probably politer back in the 30s. . .-
Yeah, I bet.
-M: Hey, are you doing anything for this month's
backtothefanfic challenge?-
I dunno. I kinda covered that ground with the end of "Before History." If I do write something, it'll probably be --
*plot bunny asking "Why the lack of Halloween decorations?" bites me*
Ow! Good question though. . .
-DW: *blush* Sorry about that. *contains plot bunny*-
Hehe, it's okay. How go the Halloween costumes?
-OD: Nearly done, though I'm still not sure what to use for Albert and Tommy.-
Give them little powdered wigs and call them fellow revolutionaries.
-OD: *laughs while tentacles buzz* I'll keept that in mind.-
-VD2: We'll be ready with them by the end of the week.-
Wonderful! What about you guys, Martys, Jennifers, Emily, Holly?
-M: Maybe a little later than that, but not by much.-
-J: Ditto, although that's mostly because of my Bride of Frankenstein.-
-E: Same here -- I just need to add some final touches to my angel wings.
I see, great. This will be one cool Halloween. *boogies*
revison_doc update -- I think I've tagged Gypsy's teenage boyfriend. I'll send them on a date when the time's right to determine if he's Romance or not -- if he isn't, they'll go steady.
-D: He'd better not be Romance. This is my future wife we're talking about.-
Heh, I know. I'm looking forward to having you two meet when she's all grown up.
-VD2: *grin* Third time's the charm.-
Yup. You'll also be having your alien baby soon, just as soon as I determine if the telescope hack works with Nightlife.
-OD: Alien baby.-
Is it really any weirder than having four sentient metal tentacles welded to your back?
-OD:. . . Good point.-
:p
And, finally, fear for my free time. I've signed up to do NaNoWriMo. I'm gonna try and write that novel idea I have for Katrina Von Nostrand and Mark Emmett Mathews, called "Graffiti" (watch me have spelt that wrong).
-VD: Original project, eh?-
I've been meaning to get off my ass and write a book -- even if I fail, this should give me a kickstart. Here's my profile -- yes, Doc's Girl again. :)
-TD: Intimidated by writing 50,000 words?-
A little -- but I've done it before. "World of Darkness" is over 60,000 words long, and "World of Light" is 45,000.
-VM: *grin* Cool.-
-VJ: Very cool.-
Hehe. Let's hope I can pull it off for Kat and Mark -- and in a month too. :D
