Gil and Agatha Again
Feb. 23rd, 2006 10:19 pmNot all that much going on with my favorite Sparks in college at the moment, though. I played them through the end of their first Junior semester -- as usual, they got A+s on the final. Between the grants and the money tree, they're finally getting to solvency. I bet when they move into the neighborhood, 20,000 simoleons is going to seem like a fortune.

Gil finished his term paper of course -- ahh, it's nice to have a computer again. Term papers really help with bringing up grades.

Gil also had a little adventure outside the house -- since the Pen was getting low on groceries, I sent him off to the College Corner Market.

A fairly boring-looking place, honestly. And I didn't care much for the music. Still, Gil was able to pick up some groceries and meet up with a Secret Society member.

Apparently said Secret Society member, Tamara, also appealed to his fancy.
The other female townie on the lot, Asia, didn't fare so well.

Oh well. We all know there's really only one girl for Gilgamesh.

Even if she insists on washing the dishes in the BATHROOM sink while he's having a shower, then acting shocked to see him there (yo, Agatha, perfectly good kitchen sink you can use now. . . .)

Everyone's favorite evil cow showed up for a while. He stared at Gil as he did an assignment, hoping to poke him. Luckily he then lost interest and studied while Gil and Agatha ate.

Side note -- while Gil's getting better at cooking, he still cuts himself occasionally. Poor Gilgy.
-M: Gilgy?-
Gilly sounds weird.
-VM: And Gilgy doesn't?-

He and Agatha enjoyed a good game of chess before finals -- which, thanks to timing, ended up being in the wee hours of the morning. Agatha's needs were high enough that she just need a snack and a shower, but Gil had to resort to a Energizer blast. (Pathetic note: I only recently realized that the red lights on the thing indicate how many uses are left. Ugh.)

But other than that, it's been life as usual. I left them both studying Cleaning skill for their classes. Interestingly enough, they match up for once -- 7 to 9 for both. Nice. Now maybe I can get a date in.

-D: These two look like the perfect candidates for Open For Business.-
Hell yes. I plan for them to make and sell robots out of the Airship Heterobach. And perhaps other things as well.
-VD: Do you know yet if you can sell Aspiration Awards as shop items?-
Not yet -- the Prima Guide for Open For Business is out though, so I might end up buying that to see.
Wrote more on "Dusky Past," typed more on "BTTX-2," currently doing editing on "Liquid Chocolate." "Liquid Chocolate" is now top priority, as I want to submit the first chapter for the challenge by the end of the month.
-DW: I'm sure you'll make it -- you always have in the past.-
I know, but this chapter's coming along kind of slow right now. Perhaps I should get back to work on Josephine.
-VD2: I wouldn't complain.-
-OD: *poke* You need to draw sometime soon too.-
Perhaps this weekend. Although I'll have to schedule it around my computer time -- I've got an idea on how to free up some space and perhaps get some advanced Sims performance.
-D: Do tell?-
Yeah -- there's a tech guide that gives instructions on how to better your computer for The Sims 2 (this is actually the guide I was following during my disasterous attempt to move My Documents). My idea is to combine a few suggestions. I'm going to back everything up (on CD if I have to -- I'll split Sims 2 up into 700 MB chunks if necessary), then:
a) Clean up the computer of old files and programs
b) Create a Sims 2 user account for better performance
c) Move THAT "My Documents" to the D drive -- it should free up a lot of space
-TD: Interesting! And then you should be ready for Open For Business?-
Well, hopefully. That plan's not set in stone -- I might just say "heck with it" and cut out making the new account. Seems like a bit of a bother, considering I do everything else from this account.
-DW: Well, whatever you do, we're behind you all the way.-
-VD: Unless you start screaming again -- then we'll be forced to leave to save our hearing.-
Heh, I'll try not to freak out again boys, I promise.
