-TD: About Open For Business?-
-D: About fan fiction?-
-OD: About fan art?-
-MDC: About how hot your Gilgamesh is?-
Yes, yes, yes, and wasn't before but am now.
-DW: I think Agatha would have some issues with your wording there, MDC.-
-MDC: She's possessed, she won't care right now. Personally, I wanna see more explosions in this series! Make things go splody!-
Why the heck are you such a pyromaniac?
-MDC: Fire fun.-
-TD: And you people worry about me?-
-VD: You're around more often than he is. MiniDamosCrawler is generally content to stay in his room with his shiny things.-
-MDC: She doesn't write enough other fandom stuff, that's why.-
Well, I am working on "BTTX-2," if it helps.
-MDC: I guess so. *bimfs away*-
I'm glad to see you've stopped trying to eat him, DocWolf.
-DW: Meh. It just seems like too much of a bother now. Besides, plot bunnies taste better.-
*patpats him* Good DocWolf.
-D: As regarding our previous questions. . . .-
I did make fan fiction progress -- I managed to whip the first chapter of "Liquid Chocolate" into a postable form, and I'm starting on Chapter 4 and Gypsy. I also did some more on "Boy Genius," wrote on "Dusky Past," did some edits on "V.D.," and like I said, currently working on "BTTX-2."
-VD2: Hey, that's not too bad.-
Thanks. I even put the revised dialogue from "Liquid Chocolate" into "World of Darkness."
-VD: We need you to sleep late more often, you seem to become more productive.-
Heh, yeah. But as long as I have a job, not going to happen.
-OD: How about some fan art?-
I'll see about doing some "Hoverboards" sketching later. *tentacles pokepoke* I said later, darn it.
-TD: I suppose it's a given you'd be thinking of Open For Business. Get anything done as regards to backups?-
Some. I think it's safe to say that I won't be able to get the recordable DVDs to work in my computer. Which sucks, as my Sims 2 folder is 877 MB big. I can't even just do Neighborhoods anymore, that's 721 MB. I was able to back up My Music, My Pictures, My Ebooks and the current stories I'm working on, however.
-D: You know, I was just thinking -- a lot of that space in Neighborhoods is probably taken up by storytelling folders.-
I know, but I LIKE having those pictures on-hand!
-M: Wait, aren't they all on Imageshack? Or on your website?-
. . . Well, Imageshack doesn't always work -- my website does have all of the early ones, though, I'm sure. Hmmmmmm.
-VM: It's something to consider, at any rate, right?-
-VD2: Precisely. If it comes down to it, dump a lot of the early pictures.-
I dunno -- I LIKE college!You. . . .
-D: Keep it in mind anyway.-
-OD: *tentacles chatter* The kids just came up with an idea -- would you be able to copy the Storytelling folders to a separate CD, then start deleting?-
. . . I have to bring you guys my problems more often.
-TD: *salute* Just doing our jobs, ma'am. How about the My Documents Move, are you still considering that?-
To a degree, yes. I'm also wondering if, as long as I made sure it went into a different directory, I could install Open for Business on D. After all, that IS where I installed the original Sims.
-E: That could be dangerous though -- doesn't everything say that it won't work unless you install it to a different directory?-
Yes -- but looking in my C drive, both University and Nightlife are in Program Files/EA Games/Sims 2. They just have their own little folders. I have program files on D as well, I think I could get away with it. Might ask before trying anything, though.
-H: Caution is best.-
Sheez, never thought I'd hear YOU say that.
-H: Hey, I take plenty of precautions!-

[livejournal.com profile] revison_doc updates -- Parkers, Mortes, and Shaws. Jennifer has the distinction of being my first Sim to visit Mage's Light Pool.
-J: Cool. How come, though?-
Mostly because, despite all my squawking about the matter, I generally do keep Sims confined to the house. I rarely send out for pure pleasure trips -- it's almost always about purchasing groceries.
-M: You send Sims out on dates pretty often.-
Yeah, but even that has a goal. Sims don't go out just to go out. Another problem is that Mage's Light Pool is a bit of an outdoor gym, and I prefer doing that sort of thing at home.
-D: Yes, but you're going to HAVE to do some of that stuff on community lots with Open For Business, right?-
Not necessarily, but you've got a point. Especially what with space issues -- I'm starting to think that the Von Braun lot is just too thin for major renovation. But this does mean I might be able to use a cool store name for you.
-OD: Oh? Do tell?-
[livejournal.com profile] anonymoose_au came up with it yesterday, actually. We were talking online, and I mentioned TeenDoc building his own brand of dingbots. Moose called them "docbots," and I thought, "Hey! DocBots would be a great store name!" :)
-VuM: *laugh* It's Doc all right. Although the full name should be "DocBots: A subsid-uary of E. Brown Enterprises."
*giggle* Yeah, I'll have to call the Hill Valley Doc's shop "E. Brown Enterprises." This is gonna be fun. :)
-DW: I get the feeling March is going to turn you into a spendthrift. The new Girl Genius collection comes out later that month, doesn't it?-
It does indeed. :D Hopefully it'll be at Borders so I can use my gift cards. And that reminds me, I have to get "Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Wererabbit" too. Probably get it at FYE if possible and use up the last of my card for there.
And now off to make that last [livejournal.com profile] revison_doc update, and perhaps make a post about whether I can leave my downloaded clothes in Downloads when I get and install. Dun want Gilgamesh to be naked.
. . .
Well, I DO, but you know what I mean.
