crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
1955 -- Doc and Marty arrive at Hill Valley High to track down Marty's parents and see about introducing them. George is revealed as a king nerd, while in a cut scene Lorraine cheats on a test. Doc can't see what Lorraine saw in George -- Marty admits that it was a pity thing, and it suddenly hits him -- "He hit me with the car. . . ."
Marty vailantly tries to get George and Lorraine to meet -- however, Lorraine actively ignores George in favor of Marty. Doc's conclusion? Lorraine's developed a crush on Marty. Marty is understandably squicked, and they start talking about how to get George and Lorraine to interact. As they apparently have no common interests, this is a challenge. Luckily for them, Doc spots the Enchantment Under the Sea Rhythmic Ceremonial Ritual poster, and a plan is hatched -- get George to take Lorraine to the dance so they can have that all-important first kiss.
Marty tracks down George at lunch and discovers to his surprise that George is a closet sci-fi writer. Father and son turn out to have the same worry about no one liking their stuff. Marty tries to encourage George into asking Lorraine out, but George is both too terrified and very deluded -- he thinks Lorraine would actually prefer to go with Biff. Get this boy some self-esteem stat. After Marty forces Biff to leave his mom alone and just narrowly avoids a confrontation with Strickland, George disappears again.
Marty catches up with his future father again after school and tries once more to convince him to ask Lorraine to the dance. George protests he'll miss his favorite sci-fi TV show, then finally comes out with, "I'm just not ready to ask Lorraine out to the dance! And not you, nor anybody else on this planet, is going to make me change my mind!" Marty is left outside to look at his picture -- only Dave's calves are left. But there's an idea brewing in his head. . . .

Got a nice chunk done on "Time Mix-Up," working on "Absolute Power" at the moment.
-VD2: Eugh. Biff.-
Imagine him getting smacked in the face with the door again.
-OD: Better yet, remember I'll be pulling a Harry Osborn on my version.-
-VD2: *rather evil grin*-
I also started the "Marty in Wonderland" fic too. I'm weak.
-HD: *grin* Excellent. Have some tea.-
I keep telling you I don't like tea.
-HD: At least hold the cup.-
All right, it'll keep my hands warm.
-DW: Don't you sometimes worry you're filling your plate too full? Four stories on the computer, two in the journals, two for editing. . . .-
I try to prioritize. Lessee:
-->Chapter 4 of "V.D." up
-->Chapter 9 of "Boy Genius" up
-->"Absolute Power" up
-->Prompt 15, "Strangers" up
-VD: Sounds reasonable.-
-HD: Why start my fic when it's not even going to make the priority list?
Because it's inspiration that won't go away. Plus I'm getting preemptive fanart for it, so why not.
-HD: Fanart before the fanfiction? You'd fit in very well in Chessland.-
Heh, dunno about that. . . .

Return to Sparky )

Okay, back to the grind.
-TD: Hopefully editing my chapter now.-
I'll do my best. It's that darn play that's got me the most worried. . . .
