*Is Wiped*

crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (exhausted)
Work basically kicked my ass these last two days. Final writing count is two pages for "Cinder-Marty," two and a half for "Corpse Mask." Which is honestly surprising, since I barely squeezed in a half-page on the latter yesterday. Ugh.
-TTV: How far along are we?-
Story! You just met up with Constable Kelloway and is starting to realize his "dream" was very, very real.
-RPD: *pats shoulder* At least you finally got the Sims 2 Bon Voyage guide.-
-HD: Not that you've actually played Sims since getting it.-
Oh hesh up, I'm TIRED. And I want to send one of my favorites on vacations, but none of them qualify yet! (Twin Oaks Park: Doc and Gypsy have baby Martina, so it just seems WRONG for them to leave now, time warps or no, and Marty and Jennifer are still in college; Eureka: both Emma and Emmett are too poor to think about it yet, ESPECIALLY Emmett) And -- and --
WAAAH AND I WANT TO WRITE BUT THE STUPID CUSTOMERS WON'T LET ME AND I'M SURROUNDED BY LAZY IDIOTS
-D: O.O!-
-HD: Ack! Don't cry, don't cry!-
-VD: Don't worry, she's not capable of flooding the place if she does. *looks at me* I think.-
-VD2: Vic, Vic, it's okay! We don't hate you for falling behind!-
Yeah, yeah, I know. Sorry about that -- I'm not really all that upset, it just needed to come out.
-VD2: I know the feeling. Seriously, it's all right.-
-TD: We don't expect to finish everything now. We just want you to finish them eventually.-
Heh, well, you can be sure of that, at least. Though it'll probably take years.
-VD: Wonderful! More work for us.-
-HD: *dumps an entire bowl of sugar into a cup of tea and offers it to me*-
LOL -- thanks, but I don't like it THAT sweet.
Aaanyway, at least "V.D." edits are going pretty well. I have that to be proud of. Hopefully I can get an update out soon.
-DW: If you can get your thoughts off the NaNo Project and the Changeling stories.-
Bahh, Changeling's cool. I still need to get the regular "World of Darkness" sourcebook, of course.
-OD: So why don't you? You and your mother are going out for your Halloween costume tomorrow -- isn't Barnes & Noble nearby?-
Well, they're reprinting it soon, so I'd like to get a less-errata-filled copy. Ironically, Changeling: The Lost is getting reprinted soon too. Of course, me being me, I couldn't wait.
-TD: Is there a lot of errata in the book?-
*shrug* I've noticed wrong/misspelled words here and there. There's one major glitch in the Contracts section, though. The "Dramatic Failure" roll description for the last Contract of Artifice has the beginning chunk missing. The sentence fragment remaining works, but how do you make a mistake like that?
-D: Sloppy editing, I suppose. What IS the Contract?-
Oh, it lets you construct stuff from unlikely parts -- the example given is a hovercraft with a motorcycle engine, an air mattress, tubing, and heavy gauge wire. Those contracts are pretty cool, you know. The first one lets the changeling repair a minorly-broken device with whatever he has lying around.
*silence*
-TD: WHY DON'T YOU TELL US THESE THINGS?! That's one of the most incredibly wonderful ideas I've ever heard!-
-D: *suddenly eager* ANYTHING?-
*snorting with laughter* Oh, NOW you like it. And yeah, the example even mentions leaves.
-OD: *tentacles chatter* Wow.-
-HD: *frowning* I don't see what the big fuss is. I do things like that all the -- *seriously freaked out* time. Great Scott.-
Well, it's Wonderland, sweetie. I would expect you could do things like that.
-HD: I don't want to be a Fae! They're mean!-
You're not a Fae, you're a Wonderlander. Wonderlanders have compassion.
-TD: Tell us more about these contracts.-
Well, there's ones where you can break things just by touching or glaring at them. . . .
