Aanyway, house is decorated for Halloween -- fake cobwebs, animatronic bats, orange and black lights, the works. The Nightmare Before Christmas crew really knows how to throw a party.
-TTV: *grin* I'm starting to understand the crossovers a bit more now. Not this obsession with pairing me with Jack, mind. . . .-
Better than Barkis though,right?

Our resident zanies have taken inspiration from Cheyenne Wright providing a Girl Genius pumpkin carving design, and are currently making a Throne of Faustus Heterodyne out of wood, paint, electronics, and pumpkins.
-TD: Hand me that pnuemantic staple gun and the 5/16's wrench!
-HD: *cheerfully eating pumpkin guts as he works* Here you go! Mind tossing me the cordless drill and the Phillips screwdriver?-
*eyes the manniquin they've stuffed in there* I fully expect that thing to EAT ME IN MY SLEEP
-TD: It's vegetarian, don't worry.-
-D: Our speeddial does now include the National Guard.-
How about costumes, those all decided?
-VD: Yes, we're just doing some final collecting of odds and ends.-
-VD2: Holly and Emily are helping out with any sewing.-

Well, Wednesday's only two days away, so I guess I can wait until then.
My day kinda sucked -- the girl who was supposed to come in for me had a doctor's appointment and ended up not being able to make it, so I was stuck there for about an hour over. My boss, to his credit, actually didn't make me stay until six -- I think he knows on some level that would be inviting bloodshed.
-OD: *tentacles cheep* No wonder you were in a bad mood when you came home. Is that why you didn't do anything with Sims?-
Probably yeah -- needed destress time. Luckily I have been provided that muchly -- great new "Girl Genius," funny reviews from the "So Bad It's Horrible" TV Tropes page (incidentally, I gotta see how to add "Write Back To The Future" to BTTF's page -- seems stupid it's not on there) and gigs_83 has written me a fic -- Fob Watch, about the possibility of Doc being a Time Lord. *squees*
-DW: *grin* She's nuts if she thinks this is going to make the plot bunny go away, though. Case in point, geno0823's Changeling Fic.-
Yeah, but I have more of a basis for writing my own on that. "Fob Watch" should keep me settled. :)
-VD: How about your own writing? I suspect we'll lose a day on Halloween.-
Depends -- dunno what shift I'm working then. I did get a page of "Cinder-Marty" done, and I finished up Gigs's request "drabble" -- seemed only fair. I'll probably start posting those tomorrow, now that hers and Geno's are done. Working on the others -- FINALLY got an idea for Anivad's. I was stuck for a while there. Gonna see if I can forge ahead on "You Look Interesting."
-RPD: Works for me. What about Sims?-
Gonna try shutting off all background tasks tomorrow, see if that helps in any way. Means restarting the computer after every time I play, but I was used to that from before. And it beats not being able to play at all. *is now itching to play* I want a Halloween party, damn it!
Right now, though, I have stuff to do. Later all!
