I Can Has Book?
Nov. 24th, 2007 11:44 pmMy Changeling Antagonist supplement book arrived today! I have never seen a book packed with so many foam peanuts in my life.
-D: Well, better than getting a book that's dented or otherwise mangled by the shipping process, correct?-
True. First impressions:
-->It's a lot thinner than I thought it was gonna be. This isn't a bad thing, it just took me by surprise.
-->The inside pages aren't glossy like in the core book. Again, not a bad thing, though it means I'll have to be extra careful about exposing it to water.
-->Leafing through it has brought up some interesting stuff. I like reading about the different kinds of fetches and True Fae. Which is to be expected, since the whole reason I bought the book was to do Andrew right.
-MF: Speaking of Andrew, what the heck is with the "Pac Man Fever" plot bunny?-
*blush* Well, I've been toying with the idea that Andrew's frality or general weakness is that he has to go and experiment with any technology he's not seen before. "Pac Man Fever" details him discovering an arcade machine. Of course, with behavior like this, it's no wonder he ended up being banished to the human world in the plot I've got going for "Midsummer Found." Rosie -- Victor's keeper from that story -- often complains he stinks of human.
-DW: Sounds like it would be useful to our changeling counterpart, though -- all he'd have to do is point out something interesting and then run.-
Oh, he's got more than that going for him. Let's just say that Andrew is not averse to experimenting on HIMSELF. *creepy smile*
-TD: . . . . Isn't that standard mad scientist behavior?-
Yeah, true. Just another reason for all the other Fae to consider him a weirdo.
Anyway, didn't do much today -- slept in until noon, frittered away time on the net. Did some NaNoing too -- the regular word count meter is kinda broken at the moment, so I'll just tell you that I broke 40,000. :D
-VD2: And you've only JUST entered the Humor universe.-
Yeah, I know. I'd put it aside to finish for next year's NaNo, except that I get the feeling
gigs_83 would kill me for making her wait that long for the end. Perhaps do a second, less formal NaNo in December?
-OD: *tentacles make negative sounds* We'd rather you return to your other fanfiction a bit. My story needs updating.-
-VD: So does mine.-
-TD: And mine.-
Hmm, yeah, good points. Maybe a half-Nano then -- get 25,000 words done on it.
-RPD: Far more reasonable. Especially since we're hoping to restore Sim access in December.-
Yeah, I know. Stupid computer.
Anyway, I suppose I'll do a bit more on that, then probably futz around with "Midsummer Found" stuff.
-TTV: You owe me a half-page on "Corpse Mask" too.-
Eek, I do, don't I? I'll do that in a bit then. Probably see about taking out my Corpse Bride figures too -- still terrified of breaking them, but if I'm very careful. . . .
-HD: I think they'd prefer being broken to being trapped in that box for all eternity.-
I dunno. But if I do get a Victoria and Bonejangles, I'm gonna want to pose them all. Gotta have them out of the box for that.
