Jan. 30th, 2008 10:44 pmSTOP ALL COMING IN DURING THE LAST FRICKING HOUR OF MY SHIFT.
-D: What happened, people swarming in while you were trying to count out the drawers?-
Luckily no, but I was worried for a little while. (Incidentally, I don't know why my boss thinks we need so many nickels. We're drowning in the things.) And some guy was pulling up right as I killed the lights! Yeesh!
-VD: At least you got out without incident, right?-
Yeah, luckily. Still, it's annoying when it's been dead most of the afternoon, then just as you're gearing up to go home. . . .
Upside to the situation: I got three pages on "Cinder-Marty" done, bringing my total up to five. I consider that adequate for the week and will be concentrating on "Corpse Mask" tomorrow (which has three). I'll also bring my Discworld book and see if I can make more progress with that. Damn, I'm pathetic -- buy books and don't read them.
-RPD: Well, you're on the computer for a lot of the time. Maybe take a break for an hour or so every so often to play catch-up.-
This from my COMPUTER GAME muse?
-RPD: You're not playing Sims, you haven't bought Psychonauts, and I'm just as frustrated with the Duchess as you are.-
Oh, GOD, the Duchess. I finally figured out how to get onto that fireplace -- but guess what? She CAN hit you up there! Her damn pepper bomb! I'm lasting longer in the fights now, granted, but I STILL CAN'T WIN!
-HD: *offers tea* Isn't your beloved mallet doing the trick? Want us to fix it up?-
It's not the mallet -- the camera system's fucking me up again. I keep adjusting the mouse automatically, which means I can see the Duchess, but can't AIM. Very annoying. And that teleporting trick of hers still doesn't help. *really wonders how the people on YouTube make it look so easy*
-VD2: I'd wager that, in a few cases, you're seeing fights that have been spliced together.-
Heh, maybe.
Anyway, not much else to talk about. The typing urge has all but shut down. Am I using up too much creativity writing in my journals or what?
-DW: Can't be, you're still producing plot bunnies.-
-MF: Maybe you just need a change of pace.-
Well, I have had the urge to draw for a bit. . . .
-OD: *jawdrop* *tentacles do same*-
Yeah, I know. Been FOREVER, right?
-OD: *too stunned to speak*-
-TD: Can it at least be something steampunk related? I'm getting tired of waiting for "Boy Genius."-
-HD: No, she owes us pictures of March and Dormie and Marty first!-
-DW: There's always the webcomic idea--
Don't tempt me! My drawing sucks! One-picture-only deals!
Right now, though, I have to go to bed. Sleep has to start taking more of a precedence around here.
-D: *rolls eyes* Which YouTube video will it be?-
Hey! *pause* Well, there is that new Sims 2 music video. . . .
