I Have Nothing To Say

Work was slow, check cleared this week, procrastination rules supreme -- the usual kind of day. So I'll instead do a quickie here about a fic I've been meaning to mention for a bit:
Harry Potter Goes Regency
The fic itself is called "A Most Advantageous Match." It's Harry/Hermione set back in the days when the whole George III thing was ending and we were gearing up for old Queen Vic.
And Ye GODS it is silly. And infuriating. It's one of those syrupy H/Hr fics where Harry and Hermione are perfection incarnate and have this perfect love and Ginny is a bitch and Draco is seedier than ever and Ron and Neville are the sum of their flaws and blaaargh. We also have the requisite porntastic night, after which they can't stop shagging all hours of the day. And the time setting -- well, damn me, but the way it's written keeps making me think of Victor and Victoria (yeah, probably a little off, but still). I wish it WAS Victor and Victoria, that would be a hell of a lot better.

Yeah, yeah, I know. You just want your crossover fic. Frankly, I'm tempted to spork "Advantageous Match." May not be BTTF, but I think that the spork team might be willing. If I was more into Harry Potter, I'd try my hand a rebuttal fic, with the canon pairings. Whatcha think, Moose, you see Ron as a Mr. Darcy or any of those other blokes? :p Of course, I'd probably slip in Neville/Luna as well. I like those two darn it.
Okay, off to prattle on about Freddie in my Overly Plotted Bunnies. And see about doing a Valentine's Day Picture.

-OD: We took the train out to do some very up close stargazing. *Tommy* It was all so pretty!-
-HD: Not that we did much looking at the stars, mind you. There was also a picnic!-
-VD2: He insisted. Though, to be honest, it was very pleasant.-
-HD: *smug*-
-RPD: And there was cake for the Claras and all of that. All in all, a very nice day.-
Glad you enjoyed it, then. Sorry for that, Clara -- you think I'd remember, given it's the same birthday as Doc's favorite author. I was SO determined to get all the birthdays this year. . . .

I can't help it! I was concentrating on it all day, then something happened, and my attention shifted!
