crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (In a sarcastic mood)
-D: *puzzled* What's so special about March 28th?-
According to the calendar at work, today is the 88th day of the year.
-D: . . . .-
You may all now bow before your geek lady.
-HD: I'll drink to that. *downs a cup of tea*-
You'll drink to anything, though.
-HD: Well, there's a lot of tea on this table, and I can't let it go to waste.-
-M: Yeah, but doesn't that mean you eventually end up practically living in the bathroom?-
-HD: A small sacrifice for tea.-
-MHG: I hope the 88th day of the year was a good one.-
Not exactly.
-MHG: *annoyed* It should have been!-
Yeah, I know. This is getting dull, all the crappy luck I have.
-VD: *sigh* What happened at work?-
BOTH the afternoon girls called out. One had a play to practice for, and the other was babysitting. That left me between a rock and a hard place, let me tell you. Especially since my boss LEFT HIS CELLPHONE BEHIND! We couldn't get in contact with him! Didn't help that he was going to MAINE later!
-VD: O.O But -- you got out on time --
Yeah, because I locked up! I didn't know what else to do, and I was sure as FUCK not staying there until closing! My usual other coworker promised to cover for me, and it was probably what my boss would have told me to do anyway (he's had me close up early once before when I got essentially stranded). If he wants to chew me out at all, fine. Screw it.
-VD2: I take it this is some bleedover from last night's craziness.-
Yeah, really. I mean, did ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE HAVE TO COME IN DURING THE LAST HALF-HOUR OF MY SHIFT?! I'm trying to cash out the fucking computer so I can go home! LEAVE ME ALONE!
-OD: *tentacles make concerned noises* You know, it might be in your best interest to consider taking a Monday or Friday off soon.-
Probably. Maybe the week after next or something. . . .
-TD: Well, at least you got all your new technology! When do we get to use the camera?-
*halfsmile* I need to install the software first -- I'll do that tomorrow. We went to Best Buy after work to pick up a few things -- I needed a new printer to replace my AWOL Lexmark, and I also wanted a digital camera so I can do my own figure posing.
-TTV: *moves protectively in front of the Corpse Bride ones*-
-DW: I wouldn't worry overmuch, Victor. Her thoughts center around a BTTF Minimates photo comic.-
Heh, if I can keep up the enthusiasm. I also wanted to exchange my Sims game, since I was pretty certain I had a defective disk.
Nope.
-RPD: *HEADDESK* What in the name Sir Isaac H. Newton is WRONG with this thing?!-
I don't know! In fact, things have gotten WORSE -- usually I've been able to cancel the installation when it conks out at 54%, but this time it froze up on me! WTF?!
-TD: The whole computer?-
What? Oh, no, just the install. I ended it via taskmanager. *sigh* I suppose I could try contacting EA again, but most of their suggestions haven't exactly been helpful. The last bunch of suggestions I got involved INSTALLED games -- I've never gotten that far.
-RPD: Can't you ask on [livejournal.com profile] thesims2?-
I suppose I should. *sigh* It's just -- all I want is for my Sims to have hobbies. I want to look forward to Emma getting married and Emmett making Captain Nemo in Eureka, and Emmett and Gypsy raising Martina and George and Lorraine taking a vacation in Twin Oaks Park. And I want to do my Asylum challenge!
-HD: *pokes* You need a good dose of humor.-
Yeah. And a good night's sleep -- I didn't really get one last night. *is tired and cranky*
-TD: All right, SOMETHING good must of happened. Does the new printer work?-
Yes, though hooking it up was a bit of a pain in the ass. And I managed to cause a paper jam my first time printing with it.
-TD: . . .-
Not to mention it moves incredibly fucking slow. And it's a lot bigger than the Lexmark, so now I have no idea where to put all my notebooks!
-WRM: That's easy. Clean out a shelf.-
*pause* Well, maybe. I suppose the important thing is that the printer does work. So I can print out my taxes and not have to pay e-filing fees.
-VD: Look on the bright side, yes.-
*notices something* You guys haven't even asked me about fic yet.
-VD2: We didn't want to prompt any emotional outbursts.-
Actually, I've got a surprise -- I finished that drabbles88 for the [livejournal.com profile] backtothefanfic challenge.
-DW: *surprised* Really?-
Yeah:
Drabbles88 -- Prompt 34 )
Okay, I've rambled on long enough here. I'm gonna post that on [livejournal.com profile] backtothefanfic, then get to work on my Sims problem I guess. And bed soon. Gotta have bed soon. I just hope I don't wake up early again. Or at least I fall asleep quicker if I do.
-VuM: We'll keep our fingers crossed.-
