crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Apparently my mouth doesn't like it when I go out to eat lunch. I think my Friendly's experience, while good, was a touch too salty or something. I dunno, my mouth just feels weird.
-VD: Let's hope it's that and not impending sickness.-
Oh, jeez. Let's.
Anyway, it's been a fairly quiet day. Went to Friendly's for lunch, as I just said -- had a Chicken Parmesan Supermelt with fries, and an Ultimate Cookies-N-Cream sundae to wash it down. Spent most of the day watching the Rift. Aubrey and Malek were briefly separated, but Malek caught up again, so, yeah. That's good for some sense of the word. Aubrey's at the Main Gauche now, with Mr. Tesla, so despite bullet wounds and injured shoulders, he should be happy. Happier.
-RPD: Which certainly doesn't describe Rift!Doc.-
Ye Gods, I know. He's a whole bundle of unhappy emotions right now. North Side Housing and Supportive Services is probably got a massive thunderstorm brewing over them. Too bad I can't really look them up and see if they've got a gym -- Rift!Doc could use something to punch.
-D: What is it about us and angst in your hands?-
I really don't know. You just seem to be a magnet for it. Anyway, I'm gonna have him go visit Aubrey in a few days, so we'll see what comes of that.
-HD: *annoyed* Where is all the humor?-
-TTV: I agree. What about "Corpse Mask?"-
-OD: Or "The Gift and the Curse?" And before you say anything, Hatter, the current chapter does have some funny bits.-
I know, I know! I'll try to start writing now! I'm just -- actually, I'm in a bit of a Simmy mood, of all things. Spent some time visiting George and Lorraine in Twin Oaks Park -- you can read up about that in [livejournal.com profile] revison_doc. Poor things had colds, though luckily I remembered George had a Biotech station and was able to get them fixed up.
-RPM: Wait, I thought they were on vacation?-
Nope, they're going on vacation. Next time I play them, they should be off. I'm excited, first vacation. :D
-HD: About time!-
I know! I also finished up my wedding chapel lot:

All the reception stuff is outside, though. The little building is the bathrooms. Very cramped, I know -- should have chose a bigger lot or a smaller chapel.

Image Hosting by Picoodle.com Another look at the reception stuffs -- there's a buffet table with champagne and wedding cake, a big table for the guests and a small table for the bride and groom, a DJ booth, and a photobooth. If the photobooth looks weird, that's because I'm using my new steampunk recolors on it. :D They're awesome.
-RPD: *nods approvingly* Not bad.-
Yeah, I like my little chapel. I also poked around in CAS looking at all the pretty new clothes I've downloaded (along with the new Adult!Alice I got solely for her adult-version dress). They were all very nice. Though people REALLY need to make more cool stuff for the guys. I have plenty of pretty women's clothes, but not enough pretty men's clothes. I need more vesty goodness, damn it.
-DW: What exactly IS it with you and vests?-
I have no clue. I just think they're sexy.
-TTV: *pulls his suitcoat closed tighter*-
:p Spoilsport.
Of course, the problem with all this new stuff is twofold: a) it makes me start thinking about new neighborhoods. Or, well, newsubhoods, since I could stick one on Riverblossom Hills to save a bit of trouble. Some sort of steampunk penny dreadful BTTF thing.
-TD: What, like the Victorian Sundays in Narbonic? That -- might be funny.-
-MF: I dunno. For some reason she started thinking about Lovecraft too.-
-TD: o.O??-
Somebody linked Neil Gaiman's "A Study In Emerald" on the Girl Genius Yahoo Group. I found it very, very cool. Especially since the format included all these injoke ads, like V. Tepes as a bloodletter and Jekyll's miracle potions. And OMG, I just got the Victor's Vitae one! Is it pathetic that when I hear the name Victor these days, I automatically think "Van Dort?"
-TTV: *pleased blush*-
-VD2: I don't think you could do Lovecraft in Sims, though.-
. . . I may now have to search Mod The Sims 2 just to see. Anyway, the other problem is -- it brings up the old bitterness about FreeTime. I know I may have maligned it a bit as "Open for Business Part II," but I was looking forward to playing it. I never found out why it didn't install.
-D: *patpat* At least you can still play the others.-
Yeah. Still, hobbies would have been nice. *sigh*
Okay, I'm probably rambling horribly here, and I still need to write, so I'm cutting myself off right now.
-HD: *produces a saw*-
You are not funny.
-HD: *grin* Oh, but I am!-
