Shortfic Is Short

*shrug* No clue. I never know where those things come from.
Anyway, hint to how I'm writing lately. Got that drabbles88 in the wings. Probably post it tomorrow, just to give me a chance to go over it and tweak if I want to. Also wrote a birthday minific, since Tracey's (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

-OD: How's "There's Always Tomorrow?"-
Movie-following for now. We're at the festival -- Doc and Clara dancing, Marty about to show off his shooting skills. Things aren't exactly the same, of course, but it's a little simpler to write these bits.
-TTV: And "Corpse Mask?"-
Got another page on that. You lot are in the Land of the Dead now, getting an enthusiastic reception. I'm almost to the part where Barkis reappears and you flip out on him.
-TTV: *evilgrin*-
-TD: *studies* You need to show more teeth.-

Things are quiet on the Rift front. Well, not really, but they're quiet for ME. No threads Doc's in, ya see.
-RPD: This coupled with you looking up videos for a game you can't install does not bode well.-
Hey, if I can't play it, I might as well see it where I can get it, right?
-VD: Except then you get all upset again about not being able to play it.-
Well, I've got plans on that front. Need to make new backups first, though. Do that this weekend.
-VD2: *nods firmly* You've been slacking on that lately.-
I know. I am a bad Vicky. *hangs head*
-RPD: I do have to admire your willpower on ignoring Apartment Life.-
Well, it's less willpower and more I have no interest in Sim apartments, really. I probably wouldn't be able to play that either, since it's post FreeTime.
-HD: Another reason why linear progression can be bad. *pours his tea sideways*-
Heh, preach it brother.
-D: Speaking of linear progression, no interest in the Sims 3 either?-
Again, probably wouldn't be able to play it. Plus, although it would probably be fun -- I think we're starting to get TOO realistic. I'm one of those who actually likes Maxis original cartoony stuff. Realistic Sims are a little too "uncanny valley"-ish for me most of the time.
-RPM: Aren't your Alice sims realistic?-
That's only because I downloaded them and they came in package sets. Though I might find uses for the skins for weirdo Sims. Hmmm.
Anyway, all this talk of Sims is making me think of downloading more clothes. Excuse me while I curb this urge.
