Freedom = Boredom
Aug. 21st, 2008 11:26 pmAnd I'm not inspired to write, so. . . *eyes the muses*
-D: Don't blame that on us. We poke you to write. The disinclination to is all you.-
-VD: At least you got more down on "Corpse Mask" earlier, right?-
Yeah. And a half-page on "There's Always Tomorrow" -- would have done more, but it was busier at work today than it has been the past few days.
-OD: *grin* Even a half-page is good.-
Glad you approve.
-TD: Not even anything happening in the Rift or the Nexus?-
Clean-up from the Kashatta Nastiness Riftwise -- that doesn't involve Doc. There's also another Doctor in the Nexus, but that seems to have sputtered out. Possibly the mun went to bed. It is 11:30.
-RPD: I think Clockwork's happy he has nothing to do, because that delays the Suzie thread.-
Heh. He can't run forever, I'm afraid. Enjoy the break, though, honey. You'll need it.
-VDM: Is it really gonna be all that bad?-
You tell me.
-VDM: . . .-
-HD: *upset* Why are there two???-
The other one's -- well, that's Clockwork's NASTY side. Luckily it keeps to itself mostly. It also loathes Andrew-Shadow, but that's only to be expected.
-HD: :( I don't want to deal with my own dark side.-
You don't have to. Besides, I suspect yours is so small as to be a mere anklebiter.
-HD: . . . *snigger*-
*grin*
-VD2: *fidgets uncomfortably* While I suspect mine is a lot more equal to Clockwork's.-
*hugs him* You are all good people at your core.
-DW: Still, it's a weird thought, to think that there's something stalking along behind you that might be made up of all your worst impulses.-
-TTV: *fiddles with tie, obviously resisting the urge to glance behind him*-
Well, from what I understand, shadows don't necessarily have to be BAD. There's been jokes that Sark's (who is an assassin-boy from Alias) shadow is basically "I love RAINBOWS and BUTTERFLIES and PUPPIES!" because that's what he pushes back. *looks at Victor* Honestly, your shadow might actually be a less-wacky version of your Mask-self.
-TTV: Really?-
Way I've always pictured it, at least.
-TTV: *looks somewhat relieved* So more -- rude, than anything.-
I prefer to think of it as "able to stand up for himself," but yes.
-DW: Hmmm. Well, psychology was never my strong point. We're hard science peoples, not social science.-
Fair enough.
Anyway, there is sweet freedom in the air -- I have taken tomorrow off! Of course, it's a working holiday, in that I will be searching for another job for part of the day. And Saturday I've planned a mall trip, so it should be an interesting weekend.
-RPM: You're getting Clockwork a sundae for the Suzie stuff. Just sayin'.-
Aye aye. I'm gonna try out the Dairy Queen instead of the Ben and Jerry's in the Mall if he can wait one day. Never been, really, and I'm open to expanding my ice-creamy horizons.
Ooh, and we have Suzie! I'm off.
