More Alice Enemy Hate!
Oct. 13th, 2008 10:18 pm-HD: Well, they wouldn't be ENEMIES if you didn't hate them.-
This is true, but there's some you despise more than others. The current object of my rage and loathing? FIRE SNARKS. I mean, regular snarks are bad enough. But fire snarks -- these are the fish that live in the LAVA. If they snag you with your tongue, YOU'RE DONE FOR. Not to mention they can spit FIRE at you. Haaate.
-RPD: I imagine they're near-impossible to kill too, right?-
Bingo. Though I've had luck throwing jackbombs into the lava. Even so, I'm still on "Burning Curiosity" because of the damn things. Hmph.
-D: You've gotten pretty far in that game, haven't you?-
I'd like to think so. Almost up to the first Jabberwock fight, so -- about two-thirds, ya think?
-VD: Sounds like a fair enough estimate to me.-
-VD2: Your Sims are probably feeling neglected, though.-
Well, I do intend to take breaks for Doc's birthday and Halloween. Hell, I should be finished with Alice by Halloween.
-RPD: Then back to the grind?-
Only this time with a FREAKING LIST. Part of the reason I leapt into Alice was because I was having trouble keeping track of everyone in Twin Oaks Park. That neighborhood's getting big!
-OD: And there's still Eureka and Arcanum to consider.-
At least Arcanum is just the one subhood.
Anyway, work was pretty much dead. Makes you wonder why he even opened today. Though I got pretty far in my Discworld for a change. I'm going in again in the morning tomorrow though, which throws my writing groove off possibly.
-OD: *tentacles squeak* Damn it. . . .-
We'll have to see. I'll bring the notebook tomorrow and see if there's time to squeak anything out.
-DW: How about your other fic?-
Focused on "Cinder-Marty" today. Getting close to proper main plot now.
-M: I.E., practically everybody who loves that version of me is either dead or thinks I've run away.-

-TD: My edits come on the weekend then?-
Most likely, yeah. Though don't hold me to that -- and not just for the usual procrastination reasons, there's Halloween costume stuff too.
-TD: Heh, I can understand that. We're still choosing ours.-
-RPD: Clockwork's trying to get the decorations up -- we told him to wait until AFTER our birthday.-
*nodnod* Yeah. Speaking of Clockwork, he's had it easy. Though Ael brought up the subject of his time machine since her possible newbie is a mechanic and might actually want to interact with him. It has occurred to me I've been really waffling on that stuff, so there will be Flux Capacitor Replica pictures in the future.
-D: About time! Keeping one of us from inventing is like keeping someone from water!-
-M2: No wonder he was going nuts, just sketching shit out.-
Yes, I intend to look up all the hardware stores in Chicago tomorrow. (He'll probably tell Farley and Aubrey about them -- maybe Revan too. Yay tech stuff!)
