I Can Has Watch!
Mar. 24th, 2009 10:32 pmMy new ThinkGeek USB Watch came today! :D It's very shiny and cool.
-D: *surprised* Didn't you order that on SATURDAY?-
Yup! And it shipped yesterday. They're FAST.
-VD: Or more local than we think. Still, that's wonderful! It looks nice too.-
Yeah, and it's very simple to use. Pretty much just "plug and play" like my memory sticks. Yay having a working watch that also doubles as a storage device.
-TD: Indeed!-
-DW: I do have to ask, why get a USB watch when you already have two memory sticks?-
A) Coolness factor, B) a backup storage that goes with me wherever I go. The way I see it, it's all about keeping my info safe. This way, even if something should happen to my memory sticks, I've got another copy on my wrist.
-DW: *nodnods* Impressive logic.-
Not to say I wasn't tempted by the spy camera or calculator watches, mind.
Anyway, yeah, it's all set -- came with a cable for plugging it in, and a little catalog of stuff, so now I can see what kind of stuff they've got even offline.
-OD: *amused* Just what we all need, more temptation.-
Precisely. Though I've got comic books to order in the near future too. I'm behind on Narbonic, and Girl Genius has a new volume coming out soon.
-VD2: Not to discourage reading, but you don't have room for the books you already own.-
I know. I gotta do some spring cleaning and get rid of the ones I really don't read anymore. Maybe this weekend -- I'm doing taxes then anyway. Got the latest edition of Turbo Tax, so I should be golden.
-D: Hopefully you'll get a healthy refund.-
One can only hope.
In other news, I managed to fix the table in my previous entry -- apparently certain things don't copy well from WordPerfect to LJ. I'll post some more fic tomorrow -- still working on getting titles for all the stuff I have.
-HD: Aren't you already FINISHED with all the prompts?-
Almost -- got two to go. Most of them are "Solicitor's Ward"-verse, but there's a couple of Museverse in there.
-RPD: You could hardly neglect to talk about them, they're responsible for all this madness.-
Tell me about it. On the RP front, Doc's talking to Ruvin about "Twilight," Victor just met Ragnar, and Alice is talking to Nancy from "Nightmare On Elm Street." Everybody's stretching their legs a bit.
-RPD: Except for poor Marty. Do something with him already, he's getting antsy again.-
I know, I know. Tell him I finished up the missing surveys for Doc and Alice, so there will be backstory posts soon, at least.
-TTV: Given what you put the RPG versions of myself and Doc through, you think he'd be less eager to get out and about.-
*shrugs* It takes all kinds, Victor.
-Museical: *offstage* I heard that.-
