One Piss-Poor April Fool's
Apr. 1st, 2009 10:27 pmI encountered almost NO jokes! I mean, last year was fun times for all, and this year, it's like nobody I visit even tried! Not to mention the day itself was pretty lousy -- I've been in a bad mood for most of it. Ugh. . . .
There were some nice moments, though:
-->Google provided its usual joke with CADIE, a panda-loving AI that will slowly but surely take over your life. And has a bit of a weird name -- Cadie? No room for an N to at least make it "Candie?"
-->LJ, of course, has its News Post of Silly, where they suggest a new friends page that is basically Twitter meets Facebook. (I'm assuming, anyway -- I know Twitter and the 140 character thing, but Facebook is unfamiliar to me.)
-->LeakyCauldron apparently set up "Hooter," the Harry Potter equivalent of Twitter
-->YouTube has some videos playing UPSIDE-DOWN. I don't know how to trigger it, but there are indeed some upside-down videos. It's AWESOME.
-->My favorite -- over at That Guy With the Glasses's site, the Nostalgia Critic, Chester A. Bum, and Ask That Guy all trade places for their respective video sections -- Chester plays Nostalgia Critic for "The Never-Ending Story," Ask That Guy does The Bum Review for "Monsters Vs Aliens," and the Nostalgia Critic answers the questions for Ask That Guy.
And, of course, there are birthdays. Yes, plural. A Happy Birthday to George McFly, of course -- the boys are off celebrating with their respective versions (if possible). Buuut, there's another guy with a birthday today.

flightattdntguy, aka Simon Arthur Garfunkle. Yes, I am evil. Simon is the technically-unnamed star of two Lemon Demon/Too Much Spare Time Animation music videos, I've Got Some Falling To Do and Bad Idea. He's been bumming around the Inkwell for a while now -- I blame watching the latter video too many times. Since he's kind of the buttmonkey of the group (he falls out of an airplane in the first, and is attacked by zombies in the second), I figured he ought to be born on April 1st. Of course, being brand new, he doesn't have much up except Dear_Mun post. But hey, it's something, right?
Anyway, I found a great new song, so I'm going to go listen to that until my ears fall off or I have to go to bed. Whichever comes first. XD
